I put something up that reflects how I feel lately about workouts. If I stop, I will die from lack of Oxygen, I just need to keep moving! Nice shark Steve. That is exactly how I feel at the moment about workouts. Edited by AlanaF 2010-04-27 2:49 PM |

Extreme Veteran 310 | Subject: RE: Boston Beginner's Group, Season 2 - CLOSED I have this general feeling of nervousness. I'm waiting for Josh to uncork on me. Will he turn sarcastic, angry, give me the silent treatment, make me do pushups? What will his punishment of choice be? Just hurry up and get it over with already! I can't stand the suspense. |

Frugal Gear Geek 2199 having fun with the kids | Subject: RE: Boston Beginner's Group, Season 2 - CLOSED you guys are making me feel guilty about not posting now. Once I edit my races, I will add them to the list with dates. I know I am doing the spring fling in Lowell, Mill City Oly, Cranbery sprint and oly and Lobsterman. I know this only helps a little, but I will fix it when I can get a little computer time. |

Actually, I called him Yoda, but I can't remember why now. Some ultra-wise thing that he said. But I told him he couldn't change his avatar since Yoda is only into duathlon. "Du or du not, there is no tri" - not so fitting for a triathlon mentor. Not saying Josh isn't a sci-fi geek, I actually have no idea. I hate to admit it, but Alana is right. She told me I couldn't have Yoda. If you notice all these clues, I really have no control over this group. It's all a farce. I like a good Star Wars movie like everyone else. Not too big into Star Trek though. |

Master 1619 Hingham, Ma | Subject: RE: Boston Beginner's Group, Season 2 - CLOSED Good morning everyone. I think it's time to set up another challenge. We did an IM challenge last time, but per Alana's someone's suggestion, we are going to have a time limit on it. Since we have a couple of people away this week, we will start it on Monday. This time, we will have a prize for the first person to finish 2.4 miles swimming, 112 biking, and 26.2 running. I will have the spreadsheet set up and ready to go on Monday. Have a good day. |

In a real Ironman, you see people walking all the time. Can we count our walking if it is specifically part of a workout? ie warm up and cool down? Or... walking so as not to break the 10% rule? |

Daughter and I plan to crash a swanky hotel and just buy drinks so they will let us stay! Oh sure. Rub it in! I'm still in rainy, windy Idaho, headed to even colder Utah. I'll let the vastly more experienced peeps here explain the 10% rule. Also, I think when Josh does his spreadsheet for the IM that will have everyone listed. I'd do it, but I'll be away from the computer until Saturday. So, someone else needs to give Josh crap while I'm gone. We wouldn't want him getting too comfortable! (He IS more scary now though... so be a little careful) |

This challange sounds fun, we just post out workouts and keep a log, so we know when we got the IM distances? and, this list of races everyones doing. Can I just post a message with my planned ones, to be added? |
