Missed my lunchtime swim.  Work just got crazy.  So I have to figure out how I can get 2 swim workouts in tomorrow.  Logistically, that could be interesting.

Swim done at lunch, run this evening...

Everybody get out there and get their work done now!  We don't want to be beat by Team 3...

Dee... time to turn the taser on yourself! Surprised

You must reeeeeeally like me because you put me on both team 2 AND team 3 this month.  I just got a message from Stacie on team 3 asking me to get my butt in gear.  I told her that my heart belongs to team 2.

But which team does your but belong to??

It's now officially ours. Did you want to borrow a taser to help motivate him?

Hmmm, I am as new to the concept of motivational taserings as I am to triathlons... I'll need a few pointers.

Not a whole lot to it.....

1) Pick up taser.
2) Zap victim.

Sorry I'm slacking here folks.  Looks like I'll have to do double and triple the workouts soon.  This trial has been kicking my butt.  Hell, I haven't even had time to read all the witty banter in this thread!  Looking like I won't make it home until 10 or so tonight - another 13 hour day.  It's worth it though.  He's a bad dude.
should go to the jury tomorrow morning/early p.m.

Get the dude locked up. That's important. I don't know what he did, but I'm sure I don't want him living in *my* neighborhood.

Wondering which offers better motivation to pick up the pace: a taser or a big growling dog? Or -- being passed by someone your mother's age?

I haven't had problems with dogs. Therefore, I'd be more afraid of there taser.

As for being pass by someone my mother's age.... Um, I'm pretty sure that happened during my last 5K race.....

Happy Day 10, everyone! How's its going? What do you have planned for today? Cool

I SWAM!

Of course, I don't have a swimming goal this month, so it doesn't count for the challenge, but.......

None of my bike rides have counted toward my challenge goal (because of the specific nature of my goal)...

Until this one! Yay! I made it! I did my 15 mile "oasis route" in under one hour ride time!

I made 0:26:30 on the way there. That's one minute faster than my best time on that half. I made 0:29:15 on the way back. As I was pedaling along, I was trying so hard to get that under 30 min as well.

Now I need to do it again this month and I'll have met my bike challenge goal this month.

My next goal will be sub one hour elapsed time. Smile

That sucks, Bill. Why was it closed? No warning?

Mine was closed for 10 days. I don't know why, but at least it was clearly posted weeks in advance and reopened on time.

I've gotten all three of my swims in this week--and a pit of OWS practice at the same time: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp... Sharing with the swim team is not fun. I would like to learn how to get up and to the pool earlier in the morning.

Now I'm about to change clothes and go for my lunch hour walk/run. I think it will be more of a walk today, though. I pushed myself hard running Wednesday, biking last night, and swimming this morning. Oh, and wearing heels to work Wed-today. lol

HollyW - 2010-06-07 1:52 PM Hey team!!  Got my goals posted on the spreadsheet (finally) but it's not totaling my average.  How do I fix?  Got a swim & a short run in yesterday.  Today is a rest day but will try to get some yoga in this evening.  Have a great Monday!!!

I'll drop in and fix it...if somebody hasn't already.

It will cost you.  I'll let the team decide what that should be.

Fixed.

I say she should buy a certain teammate lunch at a certain restaurant after a certain race this Saturday...  Just an idea

I'm supposing that certain teammate would be in OK this weekend.  What a coincidence.

They might be, they might be racing in the same race...   I'm just hoping that Holly doesn't "chick" me (I apologize if any of you ladies find that offensive...)

You are sooooo getting chicked tomorrow!  Wink  I'm out to make up for the lousy race I had last weekend.

I got a run & bike in yesterday & a swim in this moring.

Hey, I *like* swimming. I just haven't had access to a pool. Or a lake. Or the ocean.... So I haven't had a swim goal in awhile.

But I found a pool. Although, I had to share it with 10,000,000,000,000 screaming kids. All of whom had really high pitched, loud, voices. I don't want to know what that session to did my hearing.

Actually, about 2 years ago, TinkerBeth and I had swimming challenges. I had to do like 28,000+ yards each month to keep even with her. I thought my arms were gonna fall off.

It's hot. I skipped my planned run wog this evening. I opted for a little blue cocktail drink with fruit and an umbrella instead.

So I went out this morning before it got "hot." It was only 94 F then.... It's now noon, and it's 99 F.

I wish I had more pool access!

Can I have a supplemental goal that involves cabana boys in Speedos serving it to me?

(Hm, looks like I don't have that sig line anymore. Oh well.... Basically, it involved, well, cabana boys in Speedos serving us umbrella drinks while we lounge by a pool someplace in the Caribbean.)

Hope everyone's Sat is going well! Got a 85.5km ride done.

I've decided compression gear is the greatest thing in the whole wide world...(I may or may not have completely thought that statement through--I may find something that trumps them...eventually...but right now I stand by they are the greatest!)

That's *exactly* what I was thinking!

Especially umbrella drinks served by cabana boys in Speedos while we lounge by the pool in the Caribbean.

But I haven't tried compression gear and cocktails with umbrellas and cabana boys at the same time...We might need an experiment?

But the important question of the day: Should I try to get Paul McCartney tickets?

Week 2 Challenge Update!

Team Bill -- Check out Bill's progress! 1700 miles in 30 days!
http://freedomtour.opwc.org/

Team 3 - 31.2%
Team 2 - 26.9%

The month is now 43% over - and those team percentages look pretty low. Does anyone need a nice motivational tasering?

Haha. I'm sure that can be arranged. Looks like we already have the compression gear and cocktails with umbrellas...now where should be get the cabana boys from?
