Last week my daughter said she had a sore throat and didn't feel well a few days. I'm sitting here at my desk with a sore throat, feeling funny in the head, thinking I haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday. I woke up this morning with a little bit of a bloody nose, now I've got a bunch of junk running down the back of my throat. I need to run tonight, I can't go any slower without going backwards. This alone is a signal that you need Ghoulie Ju Ju. Start the echinacea and vitamin C now. And put some food in you, even if you're not hungry. Chicken soup or something easy to digest. And LOTS of water. Listen to the Doctor! You must eat! I know I haven't been drinking as much this weekend as I normally do. I have no appetite at all, and I really don't feel like making myself something to eat. Maybe I'll stop on the way home and grab something. I do pass a grocery store that has really good astronaut chicken pre-made and warm so you can just grab and go. I think you should be very thoughtful of your co-workers and head home now, so as not to pass your illness on to others. Pick up the chicken (is astronaut chicken something that NASA developed?) and get into your jams with a cup of hot tea with lemon and honey. Astronaut chicken = rotisserie chicken  |

Kim - Oh I was not the Trail Angel - some local must do it regularly - he was pretty loaded for the dummies out there!!! I am like you guys - you make a mistake like that you need to pony up and ask for help - I am not offering but if you ask politely I will help out for sure! Bike helmets should be mandatory for everyone - that is all! At our parks they won't let you ride your bike if you don't have a helmet - police enforced! I like this bike helmet law. What a great idea |

We rode the motorcycles up there on Friday and then back on Sunday. Yesterday, after grocery shopping I spent the rest of the day cooking. I guess I was in a cooking mood. Coleslaw, Corn & bean salad, bake macaroni & cheese, cheesecake, krispie treats, salmon and a portabella mushroom. I then got tired and never got around to the blueberry coffeecake, or green salad for dinner. LOL |

Nice shade and a MUP that sees a lot of activity. My best estimate is that at least 50% of the bikers were not wearing helmets, including the kids. I wanted to smack some adults. Want me to come to the park with you and we can knock them off of their bikes? Sunday morning my son needed to go down to his grandparents to look for something he left down there. I told him to take a 4-wheeler, but he felt confident enough to try the road bike. I took it off of the trainer for him and took it upstairs. I followed him down the road on a 4-wheeler and I'm glad he did. Coming back up the hill he decided to try to go down on the aerobars. I saw him lose control, I thought he had gotten it back but nope, faceplant in the neighbors driveway. I jumped off the 4-wheeler quick and ran over to him. He scuffed up his hands and his chin, but nothing else was wrong with him. He wears one of the mountain biking helmets with the little rim in the front. Without the helmet, and possibly the rim, he'd have eaten stones. Wear your helmets! Glad to hear your son survived with just some scrapes. Thank goodness for helmets. |
