Hi Kendra! I have made soap for folks before. It is fairly cheap. You can get all the things you need at a craft store. Other things are the "cookie in a jar" where you layer the makings for something like chocolate chip cookies in a jar then put the directions on a card and tie it to the bow and poof, you have a present.

Melindy, good job on passing the test. Now you can party!

Hope everyone is doing well. I have the illness that Bill and Kendra passed on. Christmas is going slow here.

Well...it depends on what you mean by official doctor. When do I get the title of Dr.: in 2.5 more years when I take my oath and pass my boards, etc. When am I a Dr. Dr. and in somewhat charge of things and making $$$...in 7.5 more years once I finish residency and pass the royal college exams or US equivalent depending on where I end up....Residents make $ not $$$$. Haha.

So I just got back from the mall. My plans shifted post exam last night and I ended up going to see 127 Hours. It's about a guy who has an incident while hiking in Utah and it's during the time he is trapped and how he gets home. It's definately not for the squeemish. Haha.

Went and got myself a dress for Maui and a dress for clinical skills. Along with a stop off at VS and Sephora. Ya. Wooo.

Now I am finishing up the final details on my dress for tonight....then I have to go start getting ready!

Oh interesting factoid I learned yesterday Neal, a guy in my class went to school at Dordt College somewhere that I can't remember in NW Iowa. He's from Edmonton but went down there to play basketball, got married and then came back up here for med.

Well I thought it was an interesting factoid...

Well I'm ready to go! I know Robin and Dee wanted to see what I did with the dress...but well...I'm a bit of a technology fail as far as taking full body shots of myself. Haha...

so...you can see my upper torso and head? Yay? Theoretically I should get a shot of the dress tonight. The archivists will be around...I'll try my best...no camera for me!

12 more days and I get to see TSO live.

If you have never seen Trans Siberian Orchestra live, it is an awesome show. This will be I think my 8th time to see them live. they really set my Christmas spirit soaring. We listened to them in the car the whole ride home from NC on Friday.

wish I was doing something fun today. Just working. Next weekend I'll be putting up the tree, lights, outside lights, etc. So, don't know if I would really call next weekend a fun weekend.

Just got back from a post run grocery shopping trip. Got myself stuff for lunches and snacks for the week.

The Grey Cup is in Edmonton tonight...it's going to be rowdy. I think the entire province of Saskatchewan is in Edmonton right now to watch the Roughriders play. Sask v. Montreal. At least it isn't freezing...I'm surprised the grass is alive...The stadium is open and real grass...it's the only one in Canada that is till real turf I think...I don't really understand why...it's Edmonton...it's cold...

Tomorrow is the start of Musculo-skeletal block!! MSK MSK MSK!!!

The less than awesome part of MSK is that we have TWO anatomy sessions every week...so much anatomy. Oh well...at least it is cool anatomy. We are doing the thigh tomorrow.
