I saw Shawshank Redemption, there are libraries in prisons.

Which, speaking of prison libraries, we are allowed to send westerns, mystery, suspense, horror, blood and gore but no romance.  Do they not understand that the western is the male version of a romance novel?

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I am changing my eating habits.  HA! (messed up already with a snickers, but I did write it down.)

Going to try and eat organic produce and no packaged meals.  Yesterday, Hubby and I spent the morning making two different kinds of soup to get us through the week.

and speaking of signing....

i got an email from soon to be EX.

the final papers for our soon to be finalized divorce are waiting at the attorneys office for signatures.

THIRD TIME IS A CHARM.

this will actually be the THIRD time these papers have been signed.

the first time soon to be EX stopped me from taking them to the courthouse because he wanted something changed in our memorandum of understanding (even though he signed saying he agreed to everything in the memorandum)

the second time soon to EX stopped me from taking the papers to the courthouse because he said he would try reconciliation only to renig two days later saying he wasnt interested in reconciliation.

we can only hope that third time will go w/out a hitch.

THIS TIME im making HIM do all the leg work (getting the papers) and then actually taking them to the courthouse.

i've been on this emotional roller coaster for so long im actually numb.

sad.

disappointed it came to this.

and numb.

but.....ever ever ever so grateful that my boys and i are together in our home.  that i get to sleep every night with them here with me and wake up every morning with them here with me.

that im with them everyday except when im working.

and my job affords me the freedom and flexibility to be here when they go to school and be home when they get home.

im sure there will be challenging days ahead.

but at least were together.

thats trumps everything as far as im concerned.

Hiya ghoulies!  Sorry I haven't been around much.  Work got the better of me last week, but I'm back on a normal schedule this week so I'll be able to pop in a little more regularly.

I also hit the training "reset" button.  I get a fresh start this week and get to pretend that the last two weeks of training (or lack thereof) didn't exist.

Hi guys!!!

So, my monday was busy. Good, but lots of errands had to be done. hubby needed contacts overnight fed-ex'd to him. Why do the silliest sounding errands take up the most time?

The insurance adjuster came by, and she said it looks like we should be getting 10 to 15 K for the damages. That better cover everything. of course, that amount could possibly end up higher, depending on what the value of the carpet comes out at. (according to the hubby, it should be worth about $60/sq. yard. The 10-15k I quoted above takes about $20/sq yard into account). So, we shall see. Hopefully I'll know by tomorrow night, or wednesday morning at the earliest. And today I went and purchased the missing sink vanity for the kid's bathroom. It is warm and cozy all tucked into the back of my SUV awaiting my ubby's arrival back home to tote it into the house for me.

Oh, and it rained here almost all day, then it started snowing around 4:00. I so wish I didn't have to take the kids anywhere in the morning and we could just sleep in. Mwahahaha.
