This is sad.. I would rather pay bills than go to my grumpy old men meeting. sigh

I have two moral questions for my Ghoulies

1) how do you deal with graduation invitations for kids you have never met and only know the parents a teeny bit (not even on the Christmas list, let alone facebook). seems to me it is an obvious lunge for cash.

2) How do you deal with a person who has never been in the armed services portraying themselves as a decorated officer (Navy Seal)? This horrifies me. What does one do?

Those are my reactions exactly to both dillemas. I think I'll send the kid a graduation card. 

Number two: The only info the man has is his name. He says that everything else is classified. Jim did a FOI request and nada showed up. The heck with PMing. He put himself out there, He should be able to defend it. His name is Kermit Lynn Smith (people name their kids awful things). He supposedly served in the Viet Nam war. It pizzes me off royally. The man is an insult to everyone in a uniform. He is worse than swine, swine have a purpose!

1 - A card will do if you feel it is necessary.  Otherwise I would not do anything unless it is an invitation to a party.  Then I would decline unless I knew the parents really well, but then I would at least have met the child.

2 - Listen to Tom.  I too dislike it when someone portrays themselves as something they are not.  Better yet, get a real Seal to come and have a heart to heart talk with him.  My hubby has not been in the service, but has Top Secret Clearance, want him to chat with him next time we are up?

Ooooohhh!!! A Secret Agent Man! He may not get a chance. I would bet the folks who actually risked their lives will have a "chat" with him.

Reason number 80 cabillion why I love my hubbie. He just bought a portable AC unit for my office!

Now, off to the grumps. There will be wine when I get home. Hopefully not too much whine, though.

Hello everyone!

Looks like I missed an active day in THE VILLAGE!

The orthoped office opened at 8:00, I called at 8:10 and they said they could see her at 10:30, so I left work. I took her to get cast (she picked hot pink), then we went and picked up my husband and took him to lunch. After that we stopped to see my mom, then we did a little bit of shopping. We had a busy afternoon.

In the office I told her I wanted to be the first one to sign her cast, she said her cousin had already said she wanted to. I told her I was paying for it, I was signing first. I had signed it before we got out of the doctor's office.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I'm in early this morning, trying to make up for lost time yesterday.

I had a recruiter contact me yesterday afternoon about a job as a firewall administrator/security analyst. Hopefully it works out so I can get the flock out of here.

There is a fly bugging me at my desk this morning. Grrrrrr!

At least tomorrows wake up to work out may be attainable. I HATE morning workouts. But I LOVE getting them done.
