Not much to report here on a Monday morning, except that I'm having IT issues as always. Supposedly I'll be getting a new setup soon. We'll see... Not sure if I'll get home in time to do anything fitnessy but I'll try. I think listening to all the stuff about the local marathon yesterday has helped light a fire under my butt. Hopefully it burns long and slow! Hi Tom. Neilindy... that is great! Neal says "oh god" Haha. He also says he will have to make some posts on his own soon to avoid being referred to as the same person. Hahahah Yah, well.... until he does..... How are you doing Nealindy? Good. Chilling before heading off to Des Moines to drop off my rental bike and heading to the airport. Back to Vancouver. We are planning his trip up to Van. Oh expedia. Haha Check out Travelzoo. They can have some awesome deals. Vancouver is awesome, Nealypoo will like it. ( I am going to start calling him all sorts of annoying names until he re-learns to type). Well I've been monopolizing the computer....so he will probably re-claim it as soon as I am gone. Haha So, that must mean you've been there for months since he has been pretty darn scarce here. He says "Ouch, the truth hurts" |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are swimmin' like the fishies in June!!! I have two moral questions for my Ghoulies 1) how do you deal with graduation invitations for kids you have never met and only know the parents a teeny bit (not even on the Christmas list, let alone facebook). seems to me it is an obvious lunge for cash. 2) How do you deal with a person who has never been in the armed services portraying themselves as a decorated officer (Navy Seal)? This horrifies me. What does one do? |

This horrifies me. What does one do? Those are my reactions exactly to both dillemas. I think I'll send the kid a graduation card. Number two: The only info the man has is his name. He says that everything else is classified. Jim did a FOI request and nada showed up. The heck with PMing. He put himself out there, He should be able to defend it. His name is Kermit Lynn Smith (people name their kids awful things). He supposedly served in the Viet Nam war. It pizzes me off royally. The man is an insult to everyone in a uniform. He is worse than swine, swine have a purpose! |

Then I would decline unless I knew the parents really well, but then I would at least have met the child. 2 - Listen to Tom. I too dislike it when someone portrays themselves as something they are not. Better yet, get a real Seal to come and have a heart to heart talk with him. My hubby has not been in the service, but has Top Secret Clearance, want him to chat with him next time we are up? |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are swimmin' like the fishies in June!!! Hello everyone! Looks like I missed an active day in THE VILLAGE! The orthoped office opened at 8:00, I called at 8:10 and they said they could see her at 10:30, so I left work. I took her to get cast (she picked hot pink), then we went and picked up my husband and took him to lunch. After that we stopped to see my mom, then we did a little bit of shopping. We had a busy afternoon. In the office I told her I wanted to be the first one to sign her cast, she said her cousin had already said she wanted to. I told her I was paying for it, I was signing first. I had signed it before we got out of the doctor's office. Hope everyone had a great day! |
