Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are biking their way through September kcarroll - 2011-09-16 6:11 PM Haven't had time to catch up on the comings and goings. Hope everyone is well. Quick hip update....not going well. My PT had me try an easy run this morning before I went in for ART. After a mile I turned around and headed home. Not good. Aqua jogging is ok, so I'm going to shrivel like a raisin this weekend in an attempt to keep the run fitness up. The real issue is I'm running out of time. If I can't get up to at least 1 18 mile relatively pain free run, I don't see how I can do 26.2. I am very disappointed in my body's level of commitment.
Nothing is more disappointing than not having the body cooperate with your goals. Hope things turn around soon! |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are biking their way through September Thanks for all the sympathy. Much appreciated. Bill, feel free to come down for a chat. RANT ALERT: I cut the tip of my finger off this morning. Not terribly deep but could not get it to stop bleeding. Definitely wishing Melindy or Amy were closer. I thought I had it under control but hit it a few hours later and it was a geyser. Went in search of an urgent care clinic. First two were closed. Third didn't take my insurance and wanted $800 up front to treat me. So I went to the ER. I hate doing that. I wasn't going to bleed to death but it was making an awful mess. They were really nice about it though. So now I have to keep it dry for 3 days. Kinda rules out swimming and aqua jogging. Grrrrrrrr. |

MUAHAHAHAHAHA www.scrabblecheat.com Good luck! Lol. Now he can see that site too! He won't be back here before your game tonight.
You neverrrr know. Haha Yeah I see it. I'll suspect something's up if you start playing a bunch of words I've never heard of
I've been getting trounced by my BFF's 15 yo daughter. Time to bring her down. Thanks for the website. Neal, you and the princess can play clean but I am not above cheating. Of course, I strongly suspect that's how she's been beating me. Well Melissa finally figured out what the bonus letter and word squares were all about and beat me in the last game. No more easy wins for me Hah! |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are biking their way through September Things are as they should be this morning. Yesterday my husband and I took Zoe, my sister's greyhound, home. She was losing weight, and she didn't have much to lose. She wasn't eating right, she seemed stressed a lot, she was pacing in the house. I think it was because the kids were back in school, we weren't around much with soccer starting, always just go go go. I think she was lonely. She is back with her family. We didn't have to get up at 5:30 to walk her. I got to spend some time with Milo this morning, I haven't done that in 8 weeks. All was right in the world... if only for a short time. |

Should be interesting how we all react when the 4th shows back up. One last early dismissal day from work to be home for them after school and then back to commuting and regular work schedule tomorrow Did you hide the laundry? |

Key West would be fun for 1 day - I could ride around Robin's area for a life time - I might have to be a maid at the resort but it would be worth it! count me in for both Key West and the mountains. I need both. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are biking their way through September There is no doubt in my mind that my daughter is a mini me. I am sorry about that. She broke her arm in June. I thought she broke her collar bone last night, but she is ok. They were sparring in Jiu Jitsu last night and she was just tearing this one boy up. It was almost the end of class so instead of all out sparring, they were just going to do takedowns. All of the kids were tired, and the boy she was practicing with was frustrated. They held each other off for almost 3 minutes. The coach announced "30 seconds" and everyone tore in. My daughter got a leg hook and was going to take the boy down, but in mid air he rotated and ended up landing on top of her with his arm and his weight across her neck and collar bone area. She immediately started crying, and it was a serious cry. My son went right to her. The coach took her off the mat and his wife took her to the restroom to check her out and wash her face. I let them go for a few minutes thinking if it weren't too bad she would settle down quickly. She kept crying. I went to see how she was and when I walked around the corner her neck and upper chest were pinkish purple and she had some swelling. That was when I thought she broke the bone. She could move both arms all over, and it didn't bother her when I pulled on them, or made her do moves where I provided resistance. It took about 20 minutes for her to calm down though. Scared the bajeebers out of me. Right away my husband wanted to pull her out of class. I said, no. They are both going to get bumps and bruises, but I feel that they are a small price to pay for being able to defend yourself. I have seen the classes do good things for both kids. I am not pulling them out.

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are biking their way through September Dear Ghoulies who are being very patient and supportive with my workout goals,
I want you to know that I have been getting small workouts in. There may be 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there, several times a day. I just have not been logging them. I am disappointed in myself for slacking off the past 11 months. I had worked very hard to lose weight and get in shape before my crash and burn at last year's Marine Corp Marathon. Ending up in the ER really messed with my head. It shook my confidence, and made me question a lot of things about myself. I am slowly getting back to the place I was before, but I am not there yet. Right now I have several obstacles in the way that I am trying to work around. Coaching soccer, and taking 3 college classes take up a lot of my time, so I take the short workouts when I can. I don't log them though because I am disappointed that they are all I am doing. I want to run again. I want to go on a bike ride that isn't in my basement on the trainer. I will get there. Please be patient. I thank you for your continued support, and I am looking forward to doing the Beaches to Battleships HIM next fall. Sincerely, Ann |
