Yay First cup of coffee down, Lasers all fired up and hot, streams all flowing nice and laminarly.  Lets hope the day stays this smooth so I can get some studying done at work.

Geeze Kate, that sounds pretty serious.  What are you studying?

Today I am sorting Naive and Memory T-Helper and T-Suppressor cells in Wild Type and KnockOut mice.

Why do I think it takes 4 years in college to understand that sentence?

However explanations will have to wait unfortunately.  It's just clicked over to midnight and I have an "O-Stupid-Hundred" start in the morning.  Stay safe everyone... catch you all tomorrow...

So first I had a super awkward date with George. We were both just annoyed by each other. So after not inviting him inside and sending him home, I went back out to meet up with friends. Had the time of my LIFE dancing, and met my match on the dance floor - the Bosnian (but lives in Seattle). He's a friend of one of the guys I met out.

After hours at my buddy D's apartment, we were listening to music, put a movie on, and had just started a game of strip black jack. Knock on the door. D says ignore it - his neighbors apparently hate him. A few minutes later, a much more aggressive knock. Cops - six of 'em. Wheee!

They singled me out right away and made me come outside, grilled me up and down about what we were doing, how old we were (seriously?), how I knew those guys, etc. I apologized for being loud and he looks me in the eye and says "Does this look like a noise complaint call? We got a domestic disturbance call." Oh boy apparently the neighbor made up some story about hearing a woman screamed and told the cops she thought someone was in trouble.

He keeps looking me right in the eye and asks me twice "Are you OK?" and after I finally convince him everything is consensual (ok I didn't say that but it's funny), they bolt.

And I think I made plans to travel the world with the Bosnian? He has a great story about his mother basically fleeing to the US and making a new life. Fascinating.

God. Pepole who invent trouble as a way to get back at those they don't like should get in trouble themsleves. Mind your own damn business.

I hate how the police can be used to escalate a conflict between neighbors, warring factions, etc as a pawn to gain one-upsmanship. They have a job to uphold the law and maintain peace. Not to investigate false claims and fabricated stories.

Stories like yours really irritate me. Off my soap box for now.

That's an excellent story.

I would have been SO tempted to look the officer in the eye and either (a) ask him to borrow his handcuffs, or (b) say "sorry, I just really like it rough, and I'm a screamer."

Though you know what, shame on that guy's neighbor for making up a fake domestic disturbance call.  I'm sure the officers were less than pleased about that.

Sounds like one heck of a night though.

Good Morning Cheri Pie!

Hi Dear.

How was your weekend?  Lots of hot dates and cool refreshemnts I hope.

Went out for happy hour on Friday (with the someone I use to date as friends) nothing more to report than good talk and free drinks, baseball, baseball, and more baseball on saturday with the double Js and Easter fun all day yesterday.....so nothing entertaining like Lisa.
