Gary, thanks yeah I was about 11mph right there, about 5:45 a mile.  I actually just did my new PR in the 6k in 35 and some change..I really need to improve on my bike. The bike I have is for a low para and im chest down more like a quad so I will be selling my bike and getting a new one.....nice pics from race day by the way.

You know, in June I had a bad shoulder injury and was out of the pool until last week. I did a short sprint tri in July (one-armed butterfly for 300m was pretty easy) but I had a near heat stroke and the entire race as a whole just sucked. I've been so down on racing and training that lately I just haven't been able to get excited about things. I was even considering ending my season early, rationalizing that I've already done five races in 2008 and that I could use a break.

But looking at all these fabulous pictures and how happy people look reminded me of why I do this. I've got four weeks before my next race and now I can't wait. Thanks to everyone for sharing!
