Cat, who is in Sidney, has generously offered to be a Team Captain for a newbie team. (Even though she isn't a newbie, herself.) So I'd like to take advantage of that. But I'd like to keep you two together, since you're in similar time zones! (When she's online at 5 PM in Sidney, it's about 2 AM in the USA. And we can't understand why she keeps saying it's so HOT outside. Brrrr - We have a frost warning here tonight! LOL) If you prefer not to be on a newbie team, I can make her a captain of one of the others. Your call! Dee Is it too late for Another Aussie enter the challenge??? I'm a Non-newbie. I've got 4 weeks until my next tri - So... SWIM > 10 hours (These are maths shorthand - I want to do GREATER THAN...) Fighting a cold at the moment so I might be a little slow to start. Happy to be apart of any team though. I'm happy to be on the Newbie team then. ^_^ WOO HOO! |

Goals for Nov: Run - 50 miles (hopefully this will be ok if I can just keep up what I've been doing) Bike - 200 miles (may need to find an old trainer) Swim - 2,000 yds (This one will be tough, need to find a pool, find the money to join and find the time to make myself go. If I can do that a may start to learn how to swim) Not much compared to some, but would be a good challenge for me to stay motivated. As I don't really know anybody it doesn't matter the group. Just looking to get more involved with BT as I love the site so far. Tom, those are great goals! don't worry about comparing what your goals are to others - we are all at different places we're just all here to help one another along! Absolutely! Welcome to the crows Virtus! Hey Thanks, I see your up in Charlotte, that's where I'm from (Well at least HS and early 20's) I used to know most of the roadie's there in Charlotte. Haven't been up there other than just for xmas (parents still live there) in years. still think it's a pretty city. It would be interesting to know what the cycling world is like nowadays. Didn't know as many triatheletes (Bob thomas, Molly - girls on the run, I guy named Earl Owens who used to ride his trainer during summer for hours and hours in his gargage to get ready for one of the first HM) If I bring the kids up to see the grandparents sometime you'll have to let me know what rides / runs are happen nowadays. |

Absolutely! a Rider eh? Then you want to scout out the North Carolina Forum and look for either Foots or Medic0020. Both are big time into the riding scene here local and give you a lot more data than I can. It has really picked up around here in the last couple of years. Folks are now starting to Lobby the city for more riding space on roads. It's a great thing! |

I'm letting everyone pick their own goals. I think that's pretty random. LOL It's made setting up teams interesting. I'm dividing it up mostly by goals. Some people went swim/bike/run. Some went yoga/pilates. Others stuck to just run, or swim, or bike. So I'm trying to group it that way. Anyway --- let's get back to the Butterflies and Baby Chickens.... ?????? |
