I've heard that same rumor. Rumor also has it that Super Cat *may* be organizing it. Beth and I are already smack talking one another. LOL Dee haha no rumour its TRUE! Cat and mystery man (to be revealed soon) are organising (aussie spelling) it! Will get the details out early but will be very similar to the October challenge but with much better spreadsheets keeping etc... Im getting HELP! Mystery man is no longer a mystery. He posted on the main challenge thread. And yes, he does write awesome spreadsheets. He ran the Sept Bike/Swim challenge. (Which was the first challenge I participated in.) You two will make an excellent team. |

And not brush your teeth so how would you know if we did or didn't??? BTW it was turkey rolled on a whole wheat tortilla with spinach and craisins with some progesso light tomato soup and I live on coffee and water, wouldn't go through a day without brushing the pearlies at least a few times... |

And not brush your teeth Well I'm all over the tuna for lunch. I do eat it almost every single day. And I trot back and forth the the girls room all day long from the water I drink. Can we talk about that teeth thing though? |

Expert 851 Oceanside, CA | Subject: RE: Hard Core Tri Corps (Team 8) Thread Okay, this is so unkosher, 3 posts in a row, and tooting my horn twice in one day, but I rocked at swimming tonight, if I say so myself. And yes, I have a hottie (and a triathlete) for a coach. He told me I swam really well. I have a powerhouse kick, but alas we need to get rid of that since I'm not sprinting, I'm swimming "long distance." He's having to unlearn me what I learned 30 years ago. Can't wait to go back on Thursday. Oh, and I was thrilled to discover the pool was salt not chlorine. |

My coach is SUCH a total swim guy that he fusses at me for not kicking enouth which is totally different than what I read in the tri materials I get my moitts on. Loves to confuse a girl, ya know? |

48 | Subject: RE: Hard Core Tri Corps (Team 8) Thread Hello fellow HCTC! My name's Betsy and I'm the new Californian to join your lovely group! A little about myself: I'm a recent college graduate and former rower who's recently caught the triathlon bug. I've done one supersprint triathlon so far (Subaru Women's Tri in Oct). In 2008, I plan to do a couple sprint triathlons, hopefully at least one Oly, and the swim portion of a relay for a HIM. Running is definitely my weakness and I don't seem to be improving much - I'm sloooow. I guess it will take time. I'm open to suggestions! Anyhoo, my goals for this month are: Swim 15000 yards Bike 160 miles Run 5 hours Strength train 5x Ok, time to catch up on 8 pages of posts! At least it's not 42, like "They Who Shall Not Be Named!" |

Aaaaaargh - tuna for lunch yesterday and more water than I normally drink (which isn't hard) ... and then this morning ... no, I don't think I can admit it ... (but in my defense, getting me and DD ready and out the door is hard work and something is bound to get forgotten once in a while) |

And I'd like to PUBLICLY congratulate SERGEANT MAJOR MUM on having posted the most wonderful photographs of all! Nothing so inspiring and hopeful as new life ... and since we don't have to put up with all the spit-up and nappies, it's even more inspiring and hopeful . |

Well as Sergeant Major Mum, I really should say "it's past your bed time young lady, now get upstairs and turn the lights out!" (just practising for the years ahead) Glad you like the pics - when she's happy, she's the most content and adorable baby; when's she not - well, I'm surprised you don't hear her in sunny CA.

I'm worried about getting an earache and sidelining my training Oh, and how many of you swim in a salt pool instead of a chlorine pool? |

Good thing my goal for the month is just swimming, because I think that's all my horrendously irritated IT band is going to allow! Terri - What? I can't hear you because I also have water in my ears from swimming this morning. lol Seriously, try Auro-Dri or another swimmer's ear drop (basically just like a rubbing alcohol-type solution). I've never even heard of a saltwater pool! The YMCA I go to loads up the chlorine. Yuck. Now, as First Sgt Fitness, I'm ordering you all to get OFF the computer and get ON with your training! |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Hard Core Tri Corps (Team 8) Thread What, who, me? On the computer? Terri, you could also try using earplugs. Those will also come in handy when you put in more swim volume--they help prevent dizziness. |

Actually, plenty of ppl. at masters use earplugs ... if you get a kind that are easy to pop in and out, you just need to take one side out when the coach is talking. Just a thought! |
