Don't make me send yanti out after you. LOL The reality is, I trained for 8 flucking months and failed by 10 minutes to meet a totally realistic goal. As I said, finishing isn't enough anymore. If I can't do it well, there's no point to doing it. Buddy your wrong, you learned a whole bunch on this marathon. I'm positive that you can now better analyze multiple things to better enhance the results of your next marathon. To be blunt with you and I say this as a friend. How many marathons have you ran before under the exact same condition? Wait a minute, the answer is none. You had a great goal and you only missed it by 10 minutes over a 26 mile length. Your true goal should have been to accomplish the marathon first, second your specific time goal. Ok so you missed it by 10 minutes. Now you can work to bring those two things together. You are so much better prepared in the knowledge department for the next go around. You have been an inspiration to many that have made it there goal to accomplish a marathon and you proved that it can be done well. In my book you did great. |
