Extreme Veteran 483 San Diego | Subject: RE: Ironman Louisville : Official Thread Made it to the Hyatt and got the bike put back together. Only one minor catastrophe, but I think it'll all work out. Planning on hitting registration 1st thing and then I'd like to ride. Anyone want to meet up for an easy hour or so on the course? Maybe I'll drive the course then ride - not sure. Meeting a friend at reg and will play it by ear, but can be flexible if someone knows where to go. |

Rolled in yesterday around 3:30 from long drive from south GA. 10 minutes to check in to the Galt House Hotel AND with Ironman. Walked around downtown, grabbed a bite and got some good Z's. Perfect view of the Ohio River from room window. |

Our three daughters are coming up from Nashville today to cheer on the old man tomorrow. Great meeting Cube, Sam, and others, too, if only briefly (arrived quite late and had to leave to make plans with the kids). Best wishes to all of you out on the courses! I appreciate what the older veteran said to the 18-year-old at the dinner: Even if things go wrong, and at times, they definitely will, be sure to have fun and enjoy the day (badly paraphrased, I know). Also, very inspiring seeing Jillian and the others up on the stage! The folks at our table (Michigan, Virginia, Indiana, and Barcelona, Spain) were speechless!
