So here's a question...

I've started taking a few classes a week at the local gym.  Mostly bootcamp, Hip hop, etc.  Girly classes that really have no bearing on tri sports.

But I'm tiered of seeing a stark naked training log.

Do I start documenting these?  Or do I leave the log for s/b/r specific stuff?

I am really really really hoping that husband and I can find our groove again in a way that allows me to fit in some tri training without him feeling neglected again very soon... but until then, I can't just be a couch potato.

Thoguhts?

I think it all comes down to personal preference.  When I was doing pilates I logged it up here, and come off-season when I have time for yoga/pilates I'll add it up here again.  There are plenty of people that log housework and dog walking in their logs.  Not something I'd do, but again personal preference.

And, as far as fitting in training w/o the hubby feeling neglected....get him out there with you!!!

Thanks for the encouragement Nicole.

I'm with Kelli - totally your preference.  I say why not?  It is exercise.

Nicole83 - 2009-08-11 10:54 AM Betsy, you totally did great in your race.  August is a hard month to race in because of the heat and humidity.

Maybe you make your A race in May next year?

Betsy and I are headed out of town tomorrow early early AM for vacation the rest of the week. Highly doubt there will be any BT time since they don't have TV/internet where we're going in NY. Have a great week everyone!

Eric - how was the disk during the race btw. Nichole - I say log it. It is exercise and it making you sweat. I would log "relations" with the wife but not sure what to pit it under and you won't see the 10 minutes on a 400 minute bar graph anyways.

This doesn't really have anything to do with anything, but Todd's comment made me me think of this.

I've been invited to probably 50 bridal showers in the past 5 years, and at every one of them there has been either a book or a recipe card or some sort of cheesy thing where you're supposed to write your marriage advice for the bride to be.

Mine is always as follows:

"Key to a happy marriage is:
Love eachother,
be nice to eachother,
and get naked and wiggle at least 3x per week."

So Kelli and Todd, I think it's just going to be the three of us around here for a couple of days.

Happy hump day!

I actually got in a run last night, which was humbling.  It's amazing how fast you lose running fitness when you're a crappy runner to begin with, and then you don't do it for awhile.

Good news though- a ritzy new cycling studio with lots of bells and whistles just opened up a few blocks from where I work.  Two of my friends at work want to go and try out a class, so we're all going tomorrow night at 6 p.m.  I'm super excited!  Hopefully I can hang!

Just kidding all dont worry. Just like me in the jammers, when I am done I still strut in the mirror and flex and tell myself, "Yeah I still got it"

Love the advice. It helps being married to your best friend. Dont bring outside stress to the house. Work is just work, money is just money it is never as important as the person you are with. I can honestly say I am super happy with my marriage and tomorrow will be our 4 year anny. Its funny because she stresses and I am always the calm one. She has no concept of money and I am as tight as a frog's . Its the little parts that when you put us together make us perfect for each other. Plus I am going to stick around just to see our daughter grow up and be just like her mother. I cannot wait to see them argue and then my wife will truly know what I have had to put up with she argues with me. I will be showered with simpathy for ever after that.

my sig line will be "Yeah, I still got it!"

I woke up this mornign and thought it was Friday.

Whoops.  Still one more day before I get to be that happy.

A huge entourage of people I work with are all going to Soho Cycling tonight for a class.  I'm excited about that!

I guess everyone is going to change here and then head over there, because we're not familiar with the locker facilities at the studio.  I am sitting at my desk right now cracking up at all the girls talkign with one another about what they're going to wear to class.  I do'nt know that I've ever thought that much about an outfit, much less about what I'm going to work out in.  In fact, it just occured to me that nothing that I've brought to wear is going to match, and I don't care.

Sorry, tangent.

Me too!!  I spent half the walk home from the pool this morning thinking it was Friday.  The one more day of work thing stinks, but I was more disappointed bc on Friday's I usually get some sort of treat for breakfast.  So I started getting my heart set on a tasty donut or chocolate croissant.  If nothing esle, my a$$ & thighs is happy that I'm eating yogurt & fruit.

Your co-workers don't work out much do they?  I hardly ever match!  I take whatever's on top of the pile, and when I forget to do laundry and I'm running out of clean clothes I take whatever is the least smelly.

LOL That is so guyish!!!

KelliD - 2009-08-13 8:42 AM Me too!!

Nicole83 - 2009-08-13 9:08 AM I woke up this mornign and thought it was Friday.
