Day 768, 11 miles and with todays run I went over 3900 miles for the year. Time for an oil change and rotate the tires on this old jalopy.

10+ miles per day, not too shabby.

My run volume is way down, and I still feel far from 100%. I am building my swim and bike though, so I guess that could explain it. Got some good HR data from my FTP test yesterday, max HR 182. Pretty close to 220 - age, only off by 2 beats per minute. .

#436- 2 miles, kids on winter break, wife at work, didn't really get a chance to get out today.

Happy New Year everyone, in honor of how good 2013 treated my running on day 769 I ran 20.13 miles in celebration. My total for the year was 3924.90 miles which is an average of 10.75 miles per day. I had ran 10 marathon or ultras in the past three years and this year I doubled that amount. I ran 8 marathon a 50 miler and a 100 miler in 2013 to bring my total to 20. I managed to win my first race ever, a distance of 22.7 miles and pr'd my marathon and half marathon time. For 2014 I will run sub 3:20 marathon and a sub 1:35 half.

Have a great 2014 everyone.

#154 - 5.3 miles of trail/road.

Congratulations to those of you on here still streaking. Today, I completed my 2013 goal of 1000 miles. With the Charity Miles from tomorrow's run, I'll meet my goal of $1000 raised for cancer and get to end the inaugural Streak4Cancer. I want to say a hearty thanks to all of you on this thread. As I have said many times before, I look to this thread and those of you contributing here as a daily source of inspiration and humility. Thanks to all of you, and I hope your 2014 is even better than your 2013.

#156 - 2 miles. Apparently, I've been miscalculating my days this whole time, but my spreadsheet set me straight. I reached my goal of $1000, so I'm taking tomorrow off. I'm already looking forward to starting my next streak in February.

So, do you mind a newbie joining? I just completed the Holiday Streak- From 11/23/13 through 1/1/14. Some of my days don't quite fit to the description at the beginning of the thread, though. I had a couple walk days int he first week. Even my short runs basically fit the time requirement, I am pretty slow sometimes! I don't know f I should restart my count, or just go with what I've already got going?

I'm at day 40 today counting all- 3.2 miles treadmill.

I am sure everyone here would be happy to have another streaker. The more the merrier.

The 30 runs/30 days challenge was extended by those who wished to keep streaking. Technically, as far as official streaks go the rules are (from www.runeveryday.com ):

The official definition of a running streak, as adopted by the Streak Runners International, Inc.,
and United States Running Streak Association, Inc., is to run at least one continuous
mile (1.61 kilometers) within each calendar day under one's own body power (without the
utilization of any type of health or mechanical aid other than prosthetic devices).

Running under one's own body power can occur on either the roads, a track, over hill and dale,
or on a treadmill. Running cannot occur through the use of canes, crutches or banisters,
or reliance on pools or aquatic devices to create artificial buoyancy.

As I continue my streak, these are the rules I will be going by, but as far as the thread goes, its all informal and just for fun, so however you want to streak is fine by me

Tuesday - #156 - 2.1 miles
Wednesday - #157 - 2.3 miles
Thursday - #158 - 2 miles

Wednesday was great. I'm in California to go to the Rose Bowl to watch my beloved Michigan State Spartans. We got to the Rose Bowl about 4:30AM to start tailgating. I already had shorts and running shoes on, so I went for my run around USC's campus and out to part of the site for the Tournament of Roses parade. Ran back into the tailgate spot and had a beer in hand 5 seconds later. Awesome. Will get today's run in at the gym when I get home from my flights, and it is currently about -4F there. Ugh.

Congrats on the State winning the game too. It is always nice to have beer waiting when you are done with a run.

Day 773, 10 miles with 8 1/2 mile intervals thrown in. Overall pace was 7:26 minute miles. Probably should not have run this hard seeing how I have 30 planned for tomorrow but some things really had me upset today so I needed and angry run. Tomorrow will be better.

Day 774, 30 miles. That gives me 103.11 for the week, now to start cutting back a little. I have less than 4 weeks to go before the 100 miler. I'll probably do around 80 next week, maybe a little less.
