Master 1356 | Subject: RE: Team Post Padding (Four-Is-More Challenge) otter_sh - 2008-08-30 8:07 AM SO again I ask is this normal? I do not want to let the rest of the team down by my over enthusiasm as I set my goals. Which are based on the written training plan. I put in my challenge training goals based on my training plan... my goal was to be true to the plan and the challenge forum helped keep me honest. All these teammates counting on me got me up early to swim or out late to run or in the garage to hop on the trainer. |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Team Post Padding (Four-Is-More Challenge) otter_sh - 2008-08-30 2:39 PM I am not looking to "back out" of my first goals in my first challenge. Just realized I can't add and divide when I am tired. There is a big difference between 15.2 minute miles and 12.5 minute miles.
No no - go ahead and change it. We don't penalize people for being bad at math. |

Master 1356 | Subject: RE: Team Post Padding (Four-Is-More Challenge) otter_sh - 2008-08-30 10:46 AMSince I have never met any BTers, you can all dislike me, and I may just never do my first tri due to the embarrassment and fear of meeting a BTer at an event. You'll be too busy thinking T1/T2 and all the other day jitters you'll have no time to be embarrassed by the TP trailing behind your left heel. The BT folk will be the nice one who peps you up and/or calms you down before the swim starts |

Yikes! well, there's a scary taper, hanging with the inlaws... I get good workout when near them - running away! |

(By the way, my team is ROCKING right now - of course, we're playing a high school team, or something like that. No offense to any U of Maine grads out there.) I scored free pro football tix! I gone to some college ball, but never pro. Hoepfully it will be fun - and not raining! Dec 28 in SF, '9ers and 'skins. I might get another set for an earlier game, we'll see!! |

Back in the dark ages of high school and college I did 2 mile ocean swims on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. The winner swam the whole thing underwater, just popping up to breath. this kept him below the surf that tossed the rest of us like rag dolls. |

We have guests to help eat it! Have you ever taken some of the graham crackers from the crust and put them in the middle to add a little crunch/texture to the cheesecake. It is my favorite way to make it. With Cherries on top of course. |

Think of all that great protein! I have seen them make fish ice cream on the food nextwork, maybe they could adapt it to elephant. |

I do not want to let the rest of the team down by my over enthusiasm as I set my goals. Which are based on the written training plan. Some ideas for you: 1) Go by your training plan. Take 80-90% of those numbers. (Stuff happens....) So if your plan says "Swim 1000 yds," make a goal of about 850 yards. 2) Go by your training this month. Add 5-10% to it, and make that your goals. So if you swam 1000 yds, make a goal of 1100 yds. The idea is for your goals to challenge you, but not kill you. |

I will just need to get in 2 extra workouts. Unless the challenge goddess will make the change since it is not Sept. yet. No, you're fine. Go ahead and update the spreadsheet with your corrected amount. (The link is available on the first post of your team thread.) |

Do I need to add it to my signature, which is blank at the moment. It's already tied in.... Sort of. 1) You log your training in your BT logs. 2) You go to your team spreadsheet. (The link is on the first post of the team thread.) 3) You update the spreadsheet, so it has your total amounts. That's it. Your friendly team captain (or your evil challenge organizer) can help you if you get stuck. |
