skrtrnr - 2009-10-08 2:49 PM GHOULIE TEAM QUESTION:  what is your preferred fast food resturant and what is your standard order?

Good morning GHOULIES!!!

My answer to the question is Burger King Tendercrisp chicken sandwich, then I get their buffalo sauce and put on it, it's REALLY GOOD!!! They used to make it that way, the spicy tendercrisp, but they stopped so now I have to do it myself. McDonald's fries are still the best, but they're not as good as they used to be.

Have a great day TEAM!!!!!

ilucy2 - 2009-10-08 9:53 PM What a day! I was so crabby, I did not lift this morning, figured I would need it by the end of the day worse. Got to the office, and my hair just bugged me, I was so crabby. Called made an appointment for this afternoon. Then I had a strangulation (attempted) case, I was mad at the suspect, I was shaking inside. That has not happened in a long time..being that mad. Calmed myself with candy corn, talked about exercising with a coworker, and felt better. THEN....I went to the hair cutter for a color. She has many awards. Last time, she fried my hair by putting blonde on it 3 times in a row. Now we need color....picked it out, some bright brown a tad of red PERFECT! Until she took the towel off. I thought my kids overreacted, until I saw a lady sitting in the waiting area, and her reaction. My first thought was a nasty looking pumpkin, or one of those pieces of corn you put on the table. NICE....I treated myself to a nice greasy burger....loved it. and it was worth watching the reaction of the people in the resturant. We shall see in the morning.

Hoping that the next washing tones it down for you!  Might be time to look for someone else to color your hair.

The sun is up (behind the clouds, of course), hubby's gone, the kids are getting ready for school, and I still don't feel like getting started.

Planning 30 mins on the bike and another trip to the gym after yoga classes this morning.

Then there's the housework I never got to yesterday, a meeting with the 1st grade teacher to discuss why my son is being a pain in the a$$, house-buying related phone calls, and an early dinner so I can get my son to a 6:30 cub scout meeting.

What I really want to do is go back to bed.

OK, I am all caught up. Problem is, now I'm too tired to say anything that will still make sense when read by someone other than me. Or when i read it in the morning. Capiche?

willie05 - 2009-10-07 9:58 PM I was kind of planning on running this evening, but a couple things got in the way:

1) Didn't really feel like it

and

2) Today is my birthday, so decided to go out to dinner instead!

I'm out of town for a night in Chicago, so went out for a couple of beers and dinner and watched the playoffs for some sport that hasn't existed in Pittsburgh for almost a generation now.

Run early tomorrow!

Happy belated birthday!!

serendipity - 2009-10-08 5:30 AM Had a fun evening, though.  The 75 yo lady who was swimming in the lake last week was there.  She told me she stopped swimming now that it's going below freezing at night, so she's riding her exercise bike longer instead.  Please God, let me be like that at 75.

This is soooo cool! I teach active older adults at the Y and have a 91 yr old in my water class that is always telling me to pick it up! She loves that I push them! I always say "I wanna be like you Ruthie, when I grow up!"

skrtrnr - 2009-10-08 7:20 AM

its gonna be SOME day today.

spin this am.

then a quick trip to the OB-GYN.  [schedule your annuals ladies, if you havent already]

my youngest sons Open House this eve.  YAY!  i love how excited he is about us coming!  too cute.

REST DAY tomorrow.

then tackling the beast of an 11 miler on Saturday.

its that mental block thing, we were talking about.

ive run this distance before, but....

its just wagging its ugly finger in front of my face for some reason.  probably cuz my 10 miler was so UGH-ish.

im contemplating running down at the trail just to mix it up, and it would give me something to look foward to ie motivation.

i *heart* the trail (rails to trail, crushed limestone, in the woods) and i havent been there in ages.  i used to ride my hybrid bike there all the time before i had my expensive road-one.  the limestone dust makes the chain all gritty....so i dont 'dare' ride there now.

and i used to do bike/run bricks there too, in the Spring.

so....i miss it.

this would give me a 'reason' to look forward to my 11 miler [can you tell im talking myself into this one....]

i still have a 12 miler next week, so i could do that on the road.  nothing 'lost'.

i promised/challenged myself to do all my long runs outside/on the road in prep for this 1/2 MARY.  i used to do the majority of my trng on the TM, and found come race day i wasnt as prepared as i could have been to 'deal' w running on the road.

but im thinking one run on the trail for purely motivational reasons is NOT a 'deal breaker'.

isnt it grand that as athletes we have OPTIONS?

gotta love em.

and isnt that was its all about....

RUNNING HAPPY?

stacieb

Stacie I think running on the trail is a great idea! How did you handle doing all running on the TM? that is total mental effort!

skrtrnr - 2009-10-08 11:49 AM GHOULIE TEAM QUESTION:  what is your preferred fast food resturant and what is your standard order?

I will begrudgingly admit that I actually enjoy some fast food restaurants. In the interest of simplicity though, I'll say my ideal fast food meal would be a plain old roast beef sandwich from Arby's with fries from McDonald's. I'm not sure if the rules allow for this kind of restaurant cross-mojonation, but those are my 2 cents and I'm sticking to it.

rules allow for this resturant crossmojonation, absolutely.

and for the record.  id cross mojonate my fast food too.

i love Arbys Beef and Cheddar, but like you, id sub in McDonalds french fries.

schazaam.
stacieb

nice job TOM making up the word cross mojonation.

worth WAY more than two cents.

stacieb

Thanks Stacie, although I can't take full credit. I pulled it from Austin Powers

ah.  i see.

and here i thought you were just uber smart/creative.

Austin Powers?

you dont say.

kromanowski - 2009-10-08 7:55 AM Morning everyone!!! I got 6 miles in this morning (I know I know I changed the plan again ) I was afraid I would bail on it with my parents here this weekend, so I decided to get it out of the way.

Great job Katie!
