ironannekidd - 2010-04-16 8:30 AM Neal - are you going to see Jules when you are in CA for Escape From Alcatraz?

Thanks for the reminder.  I need to send her a PM to see if she'll be around or not.

Has she been around BT at all lately? I checked her log a month ago or so but she hadn't logged anything in a while. If you hear back from her say hi for me!

kromanowski - 2010-04-16 7:03 PM Hi everyone!  I heard a rumor of the ghoulies doing a half-marathon in January... Is this true?

Here's the link. Save the date. There is rumor there will be a margarita drinking contest. We will also be celebrating Neal and I's birthday's while we are there.

Cool!  Count me and the DH in!

SWEET! Btw, hi Katie! we missed you! This is the race I did this year and it's really well run. Aid stations every mile (starting at mile 2), ocean views for over half the course, and a rolling but not too hard course. I sure hope I'm still here next year so I can play too!

givemashot - 2010-04-15 11:44 PM I am doing my best to NOT lurk, but it's kinda hard when all the ret of the Gouhlies are asleep when I'm awake. That's what I get for working extra shifts this week, huh? It messes with my schedule...alot.

Hey Amy. Sorry about your messed up schedule. I hope your hours return to normal soon!

Next week sometime, I believe. Thanks.

iowagander - 2010-04-16 7:24 PM Here are my totals so far:

Bike: 69.94 mi
Run: 14.35 mi
Swim: 2400 m

The last couple weeks have been rough, but I'm thinking I should be able to get back into a routine next week. I'm sure I'll be able to get at least one IM distance in each discipline with a little left over.

That means it can only get better, right?

I raise my glass to smooth sailing for a HAWT gouhlie guy. (okay, for all the HAWT gouhlie guys and gals. Fair enough.)

Hello ghoulies.... I have an 8am group ride tomorrow, I was wondering how you estimate your distance in spin class? our bikes do not have sensors on them and so I have no idea what to put for distance when it comes to doing 112 miles! I am at 23.79 for the run. Also never can keep tract of my laps but that I can estimate with time.
I'm off to bed all...have sweet dreams!

Hey dudes! Been crazy around here...spent some time today with my bike and figured out my whole magnet vs bladed spokes issue and mounted my waterbottle! It was quite productive! Ended up doing a run and short spin indoors (because i had to test out the computer of course! ) i think my totals so far this month are 15km swim, 103km bike, 80km run...so close to tapering for the run for the HM!!! 2 weeks! getting excited! Yay! But need to ramp up my bike volume...its just been super windy around here lately and still gravel and such on most of the roads (i know, excuses excuses)...ive almost run as much as i have biked! Eeek...ill be over 100km for the month prob tomorrow (last long run before the race!!! Long run meaning 2+hrs...and then shorter runs..booyaah! Maybe an easy recovery swim? Hmmm...we will see!Just went to see kick a$$. Pretty funny...definately a kill bill-esque movie. Prob will see "the girl with the dragon tattoo" next weekend. Its swedish with subtitles...but ive heard its phenomenal! Hollywood is making a version too but not till 2012. The book trilogy is fantastic- only the first 2 are in english right now. Its quite disturbing but sooo good. Its a thriller/mystery. I highly recommend it. By Steig Larson.Sorry its all jumbled! On my blackberry! Bedtime!

Originally the plan was Arizona. It is Tom's son's birthday weekend though so he didn't think he'd be able to make it. If we moved the trip back a week and went a little further west we could get another Ghoulie there. Everyone seemed to agree that the more the merrier and we would do SD instead.

I hope that doesn't mess up your plans to come along.

When is the marathon that you're putting on?

Greetings Ghoulies!!! Hope everyone is out having fun this Saturday morning.  I've had my 14 yo niece for the past three days, so my days have mostly been filled with visits to the mall(s).  She lives in BFE where JC Penney's is considered high fashion, so this has her almost breaking out in hives.  I am seriously shopped out, and am hoping to make today a movie day.  If she ever gets out of bed that is.  Undecided  Actually I don't expect a sighting for at least another hour or two.

Tomorrow I toe up to the starting line of my first Half in almost a year.  Knee feels good.  Am keeping everything crossed.  Everything.

I just got back from a 10k.  I finished 2nd overall with a time of 37:27.  I'm pretty sure they shorted the course about a quarter mile, but I'm still pretty pleased with the effort.

Time to rest up before the afternoon bike ride!

Since you are a foreigner I will let you know that Seattle and NYC are NO WHERE CLOSE to each other. I'm just sayin'.

Maybe Dee would take you shopping though.

wgraves7582 - 2010-04-17 1:52 PM Back from a run and swim at the YMCA.  I am trying to conjure up the desire to ride but it is April and only 39 degrees so I doubt it will happen.  Sometimes a nap is just the key ingredient!!!!!

Have a great Saturday and I will check in tomorrow!!

I got a swim in at the Y this morning, too. I should have gone out for a ride, but I won't make it today. It is a little warmer than 39, but it is VERY windy. My daughter also has a play date over now, too. So I'm at home.

We're having a game night tonight. If anyone wants to come over and play cards we'll be here.

I forget all the details, but I think it is July 2011 that Kim and I are going to run a marathon in Montana. Maybe you could meet us there.

If you do IMLP let me know. I'll come to NY and Sherpa for you.
