hey team!  I've been extremely slack this month.  Just had a lot going on, but now I've told my boyfriend he's gonna have to start forcing me to get my workouts in not that everything around here has finally calmed down.  Hopefully after this week I'll be pretty much caught up on my goals.  Hope everyone's had a great weekend.  Let's kick some butt this week!!

But I haven't tried compression gear and cocktails with umbrellas and cabana boys at the same time...We might need an experiment?
I think we need *several* experiments.

Help, I'm feeling harassed over here....

OK, yesterday was my tri (RR here) and an 80min bike ride...  ugghhh...  off to update spreadsheet!  So far I am like one step ahead of the taser  - I might have to slow down so Dee can catch me...  (yes, that is the sick, twisted side of me on display....)

crimefighter2 - 2010-06-09 9:21 PM Sorry I'm slacking here folks.  Looks like I'll have to do double and triple the workouts soon.  This trial has been kicking my butt.  Hell, I haven't even had time to read all the witty banter in this thread!  Looking like I won't make it home until 10 or so tonight - another 13 hour day.  It's worth it though.  He's a bad dude.
should go to the jury tomorrow morning/early p.m.
Get the dude locked up. That's important. I don't know what he did, but I'm sure I don't want him living in *my* neighborhood.

Got him!  Jury was out about an hour and 15 minutes.  the charge -- leaving the scene of an accident involving death.  We didn't have a suspect for 15 months - it was a hit and run at about 230 a.m.  He messed up and told his girlfriend what he did, one day she got mad and told on him.  He had sold the car 6 days after the wreck (mother's day -08) and it was bought by another kid in Mo.  Paint samples from the car matched the paint in the victim's clothes.  That's the really quick version of the science and the facts.  If you want more details, I'll give them - just shoot me a p.m.

In the meantime, I finally got a few more workouts in over the weekend.   It's pretty bad when your first workout of the week is on Saturday!  I'll catch up this week, I promise.

Figured I'd make it four...and pad my posts.  did a run/bike brick today, tried to used the autosport function on the garmin and I did something wrong as it counted it all as a run.  Makes me look really fast though, so I guess that's ok.    It was 87 when I finished, I think it was about that when I started too.  The heat coming off the asphalt during the run was tough.  Couldn't feel it during the bike.  I've noticed my 5K times have gone to pits since I started doing endurance training.  I'm a little bummed about that.  Well, it's almost Monday!  Woohoo!

Okay gang, as my challenge team I'll let you make the call on this one...

I skipped my swim workout this morning. Wuss-out excuse or legitimate reason?

After spending the day in West Des Moines, I can home last evening and started to pack my swim bag. I had left in on the bathroom counter with my suit, goggles, swim cap, ear plugs, and shampoo. When I reached out for it, I discovered that one of the cats had peed on it all.

Yuck!  We're having similar issues with our cat... she seems to think it's funny to do her business right next to the litter box.

I didn't get in all the workouts this weekend that I had planned, but can make up some ground over the next few days.  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I did a long bike ride yesterday morning, but decided to take my mountain bike instead of my tri bike.  Just felt like mixing it up a little.

We had 44 people over our house for our end-of-the-softball-season pool party yesterday afternoon.  It was a blast, but much of the evening was dedicated to cleaning up.  My 10yo daughter and all her teammates got their trophies and the parents of the girls were nice enough to thank me and the other 2 coaches with $50 gift cards... yippee... new tri shorts!

Possibly no workout today.  Had to catch a flight at 7am.  Took 45 minutes to get through security.

I do get back home tonight at 8pm.  Contemplating a late night swim.

You must have a large pool...  There is something nice about the post season gift from the team.

Only the kids were in the pool, but that still had it pushed to maximum density.  The parents all just sat on the deck & patio and drank beer. Laughing

Just back from the gym... 30 min, 3.3 mile run.  I was supposed to get a 1hr trainer ride in this morning, but wasn't feeling it.  Tomorrow is a planned rest day, so I'll just do it then.
