I hope everyones weekend races went well - looking forward to hearing about them. Mine went amazingly well. I'll put up a race report when I have some pics, but the short version is that myself and my team mate were the only all female team in the 24h race and we managed to beat all the guys to win, by 5 clear laps to the next team! We did 33 (300m/8.8k/2.1k) in the time and actually finished 45 mins early as we were so far ahead. So, I raced a total of 4.5km swim, 165km bike and 31.5 km run. Now I am tired and sore but very happy. Oh, and I managed to get myself the nickname of the machine from a bunch of the tri guys which was quite amusing. That is fantastic. Way to go! The swim sucked because my goggle filled with water but then I ripped it up on the bike and run. I ended up with a 5K PR! Yes.....faster than my fastest open 5K!!!! Holy crap!!!! I wore my Garmin on the run so I know it was a perfect 5K distance. My previous 5K PR was at the Carlsbad 5000 which is a pretty famous, chip timed race. I need to go do the Carlsbad 5000 again and see what happens! Holy crap!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! Awesome! Way to go! |

Got a run in today - it was to be a run/walk but the dang garmin couldn't find the dang satellite in a clear sky this morning. So I just added the run intervals together and the walk ones and did them all at once. 1.5 mile run with a 1/2 mile walk complete. Right on track.

Sounds like a good race to put down for the future to escape some Melb winter Oh, its a great one! Run by QSM sports, bookmark them or get on their mailing list. They have a couple of nice tris. Sad you have decided against IM Melbs. I am kind of in the same boat. Thought it would be nice but I don't even know if I will still be in Australia next year so an entry would be foolish....maybe 2013... |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: August East-West Run/Jog/Wog/Walk Challenge! I ran today It wasn't as tough as I thought it would be with how long it's been since my last run. Took a pretty hilly route... I'm starting to think there are no flat roads around the new neighborhood. Washer and dryer were installed Sunday and I got lots of laundry done... so happy to have clean clothes to wear again. |

I can't get in either. I just tried and I had to log in - I logged in with the usual username/password and it told me their was "suspicious activity" on the google account and asked that I change my password. Since it isn't my account I didn't change the password. I am assuming Dee will have to do that.

Here's the NEW log in information: email address: [email protected] password: challengeforum2 If you can't access the spreadsheet: Scroll to the bottom, and look at the bottom right corner. If it says, "edit this page," click that link and enter the info above. Expert 908 Niskayuna, New York | Subject: RE: August East-West Run/Jog/Wog/Walk Challenge! I haven't been on here in a few days, partly out of guilt. I had a GREAT time at the Warrior Dash Saturday, but my uncontrollable competitiveness wouldn't let me just enjoy a fun event. I tried to win my heat (came in 2nd) and ended up 13th overall for the day (out of over 9000). Great result, but I've been so sore ever since that I haven't been running. Aside from falling out of the overachievers group, I was also supposed to start my peak period for my HIM in September. Anyway, I will put in the 3.5 from the Warrior Dash and hopefully get back on track! |
