Hi. In the OR for the next 8 days of my rotation and then 2 exam days before Xmas break. 1 full teaching day too...so really only 6 days of having to be in the OR...I can make it. It's not really that bad...just a lot of standing around. Got to scrub in on a c-section today. Got super hot and kinda felt lightheaded from all the lights I think, but I took a minute to focus and I was fine. I guess I shouldn't complain because my next rotation is psych.....booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo psych booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Just sayin.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm being less of a lazy a$$. Went bridesmaid dress shopping on Sat and wasn't a fan of my measurements.....at all. I know...surprise.

I thought there were a lot of lights when I had my c-sections, too. In fact, when I had my daughter I was watching the doctor in the reflection of one of the metal things that reflected the light. It didn't bother me, but I can see where some people wouldn't like to see themselves splayed open on a table.

kns57 - 2011-12-12 9:13 AM So, I go to the grocery store particulary for TAZO Wild Sweet Orange herbal tea, and they did not have any, and neither did Starbucks.  ...Withdrawal symptons...

today it is raining out ~ i was sick yesterday so instead of the run I had planned outside today ~ I will probably go do a short 30 minute circuit workout at the gym during off hours ~ then maybe sit in the steam room~

hope you all have a great monday/week~

this ones for you Kendra:

It's rainy here too, but I think I'll try and tough it out and do my run. Mainly because I hate doing any kind of cardio machine and I'm not in a weight-lifty kind of mood. I really should put some rain gear on my shopping list, but the weather is so rarely poor around here I just keep putting off buying any. Oh well - hopefully I can make the time for a soggy run in a little bit.

If the weather is above 50 degrees...I really like to run in the rain...then come home and take a lonnnnng hot shower!

what size jacket do you wear? I do have some extra NWT jackets that I was about to list on ebay~ would rather pay it forward to my favorite ghoulie guys/gals!

How did I not know that they make rain gear for running? How is it? Does that stuff even breathe?

yes ~ depending on the makers ~ the higher end ones have zip vented areas under arms....and or mesh lining ~ I usually layer dry wick tops under it.

FAIR WARNING: beware of paint stripes or markings on the pavement and or wet leaves when running in the rain ~ they can cause you to do the splits or head in directions your feet were not planning on! I have learned the leaf thing on my own! I never did the splits before that day, either Embarassed

I knew about the wet leaves from riding my motorcycle.

oh that doesnt sound good!?!!! haha

what kind of bike? I used to have a penton dirt bike I kept at our cabin...what an amazing workout that is!!! I could not believe how sore I was after my first ride!!!

ironannekidd - 2011-12-12 10:59 AM I walked today at lunchtime. Now I have a blister.

SUX ~ so what shoes were you wearing?

 were they stilettos????

I had on a pair of low cut hiking boots, and thin socks. They have rubbed before but today was the worst.

My dear, I don't own ANY heels. Running shoes, hiking boots/shoes, sandals, flops, or loafers. I don't own any dressed either.

I love it!!!

I own some heels ~ but ask me if I wear them! I love my vans, flip flops in the summer and uggs in the winter~ It would not be pretty me walking around in stillettos! not pretty at all!!! I would twist ankles be down more then up and I can only imagine what people would be saying as I tried to stumble past!!! nope ~ not a pretty site at all!!!!! haha

Is that anything like watching paint grow, or grass dry?

At this place it is a lot like Lucy and Ethyl at the chocolate factory. But with hazardous waste rather than chocolate. I stand far away and call "halt" quite a bit.

Call me crazy, but I wouldn't want to be screwing around with hazardous waste.
