YYYYYAAAAHHHHOOOO FOR FRIDAY! IT'S ABOUT TIME! Hope everyone had a descent week. I don't know about everyone else, but I am really really looking forward to the weekend, no big plans, just really looking forward to it (have i made that clear yet?). What does everyone have planned.

I will have pictures of my weekend, probably posted Sunday night, but the plans for me....

Saturday- Hike a peak called Mailbox Peak (they actually have a mailbox up there). 3 miles up -GAINING 4000 feet elevation (it is a brutal climb!). It will leave some toes black and blue, but the view is spectacular.

Sunday- A smaller hike w/ a heavier back to get the legs loose, and take some 1st time hikers out.

Don't worry you will hear more about the long bike rides, and runs, once the weather get's better in Seattle!!!

Have a long bike ride planned for tomorrow, probably 25 mi or so, and then a swim on Sunday. Weather's supposed to be "chilly" this weekend with highs in the low 60s. I'm looking forward to the ride in cooler temps... Ok, so maybe Dusty and I shouldn't be allowed to comment on weather...

It's my husband's birthday tomorrow and he mentioned us getting massages -- no complaints from me! It will feel great after the ride.

Have a good one everybody. We deserve it!

Yeah, we in the South do tend to have it a little better than our northern brothers and sisters. I'm planning on about a 5 mile run tomorrow. Only a couple of weeks left until my Half Marathon Relay. (That's just a nice way of saying "a little more than 10K"). I think it's psychological. If you say you ran any kind of race with the word "marathon" in it, it makes you feel better. Oh well, everyone have a great weekend. This global warming trend is really wreaking havoc on the training. We are actually burning up at a whopping 33F today. Whew! Someone turn on the air!!!

Well, it was 18 degrees down here this morning, but clear and warming up now. I plan a mile swim tonight, 50 minute run tomorrow and 20 mile bike on Sunday. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Did a spin class already today. Foot is doing better, but I don't know if I'll be up for a run tomorrow. Maybe I'll just stay in the saddle instead. Other than training, no definate plans. Maybe we'll play Monopoly, watch some movies, and play with our Labradoodle.

Have a good weekend everyone!

I'm going back to the great state of Nebraska to spend some time w/ friends and my girlfriend so i haven't seen since the beginning of january. So I had 8 hours of class today, then 7 hours of driving. I'll run on saturday and sunday around there and then spend 7 hours in the car on the way back. I do have a 3 day weekend though, so that's really nice, even though I should be spending it studying neuro. Have a great weekend everyone, and good luck on the proposal Jared!

Jared - Good luck man!  Can't wait to hear all the details.    We've been married 12 years and it's been fantastic.  All the best to you and your girl!

I think we're going to have a low key weekend...  the roads are still a mess around here, so I'm not keen on heading out anywhere.  My driveway is a solid slab of ice.  OK, half of it is a solid slab of ice.  My side of the driveway.  I've cleared hubby's side off, still have to get my side finished.  Planning on a long bike ride tomorrow and possibly a run. We're taking the kids to the rec center on Sunday.  Hubby and I will take turns b/w kid watch and swimming laps.

Take care everyone!

All the best Jared, I am 15 years in so far and things are great. Although we have been together for 25 years this November.

Was out curling last night, actually won the game for a change.

Today supposed to be going into work for part of the day and then planning a 15k run for tomorrow. Weather is warming up a little to -5C for the high, so it will feel positively balmy from the last two weekends.

 Have greate weekends everyone

Great picture Steve. I think it may be like that when I go to Colorado next month, I'll post some pictures when I get back from my trip.

Today I did 14.88k in 1hr 41 minutes, the weather was pretty good, sunny and felt warmer than the -11C and -19C windchill.
Felt the Achilles, so bailed on the 20k group and route that I had gone out with and came back to finish at just under 15k.
I think I will be able to do the Chilly half, but no blazing times for me this time.

Indeed, someone did propose to someone tonight.

SHE SAID YES!

I'll try to get a picture of us up tomorrow sometime. Right now, I'm exhausted and going to bed.
