So Scout, what kind of totals did everyone sign up for?  What is our total team mileage goal?

*snerk*

Lemme put it this way:  On another site, we have a group called the 2000 Mile Club.  It's people attempting to run AT LEAST 2000 miles for the year.  Currently, there are about 6 over that mark, 3 with less than 100 to go....  18 are in front of the pace marker.

1187 for you so far...I think you should make it pretty easily.

Uh, lessee.....  Total mileage is 1179 for the group.  As of what I have right now, we're at 86.85.  We're at 7% to total goal.

Actually, it's 1242.5.  I have runs that didn't make it here.....

I'm not sure I can pull the 2k or not.  I need some serious mileage months for the rest of the year...over 200 per.

I read it on the flight out to NM.  The Brandon Leslie article is quite interesting.  On many levels, not the least of which is the low rate at which American Indians stay in school.  I grew up around many, including having my fair share in my family and had no idea.

Mostly for the hell of it.

There's a couple sub-elite guys on the board, we're talking sub 2:45 marathoners.  Couple ultra guys floating around, too.

These guys have easy paces that are as good or better than my race paces.

Trying.  But I'm also being realistic.  With a marathon this month, and one in December, that might have an effect.

HA.  I read somewhere of a guy that was tapering for an event and having a hard time going slow at 5:30!!!!!!!  That's just wrong!

I'm sure there are plenty of discussions about this out there on other boards but how much is genetic makeup vs. training.

Heh.  I'm at my desk by 7:15 every day.  I just am not all that much for trying to get up at 4:30 to go run 10 miles first thing right now.  Instead, I'll try to do that tonight.  How many miles you gonna do tonight?

I did the whole 4 am thing from December to April, then one day I stopped and I have not been able to do it since.
