LOL Gill....welcome to the "sore a$$ club" which just happens to be a spin-off from the T.I.T.S. organization. Yes, it goes along with it very nicely! Hang in there, you'll develop a thicker and tougher skin in the sensitive areas and it won't take but....oh, perhaps 10 or 15 years of riding to do so!

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: Team T.I.T.S. As far as I can tell, it looks like everyone is updated for their hours on the Google Spreadsheet. We're doing great so far, maybe just a little behind. We are 42% of the way through the month of January and our team total sits at 32.16% if you have any unrecorded hours and still need to get them into the log. And welcome to Sam our newest team member who's already gotten 34% of his monthly total in there! You can check out his logs HERE and leave him an inspire too!

Oh, there's a couple reasons our team total is low, me being one of them--although I've got the biggest proclaimed T.I.T.S. next to Max, I've only been able to work on mine starting this week, and slowly, because of the slipped disc and bronchitis. However, I am ramping up and will definitely pound out my T.I.T.S. and prove that my T.I.T.S. will be as big as I say by the end of the month. |

I have added my T.I.T.S. to our weekly log... they are really pumped up this week, due to yesterday's session... 20 sweaty bodies, locked in a room for five hours, all happily in the pursuit of T.I.T.S. |

Wait, wait, what did I miss? A girl's quiet on BT for a couple days and ... it's not in your logs, either! Do tell! Yep, I got engaged this weekend. Though she knew it was coming soon, I managed to surprise her. She works at a radio station and gets all kinds of schwag. She had a $100 gift certificate to a really nice restaurant in Memphis, so I told her to get an invitation because I wanted a super fine meal for what would be a grand total of like 30 bucks. Nothing I did hinted any plans of organizing an engagement. So, we're walking up to the restaurant and I asked her if she wanted to make this our first date as an engaged couple. She started crying, I pulled out the ring and asked her to marry me, she kept crying, but then she kissed me, so I guess the tears were good. I gave her the gift certificate back and told her to bring her mom so they could have a good meal and talk about wedding stuff. After dinner, she spent the rest of the night on the phone calling people and we drove all over Memphis seeing her family and friends. Best of all, we were talking before I left to come back home on Sunday and she said, "You'll need to figure out what races your doing this year so we can make sure nobody throws any showers or engagement parties on the same weekend." Suh-weet! So, I got home, got motivated, and eased into a four mile run followed by an hour and a half of sweet, sweet T.I.T.S. Edited by sesh 2008-01-14 8:31 AM |

Expert 974 Encinitas | Subject: RE: Team T.I.T.S. I have some T.I.T.S. questions for all of you! So my new heart rate monitor just came in last week and it's been showing me some interesting things, like I'm not going nearly hard enough on my bike trainer! I hit the bike trainer this morning and felt like I was going reasonably hard but my average heart rate was only 111bpm, which probably isn't too far off what it is right now just typing this message! I'm not sure if it's a mental thing or what but I really don't feel like my legs could have gone all that much harder, I tried pushing close to all out and only managed to hit 139bpm. At my duathlon on Saturday I was averaging 175bpm (granted it was a race, but still, that's not even remotely close to the same output). I think it may be a mental block or something from being on a trainer and not actually going anywhere, I'm so far off I feel like there should be more to it than that though. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? |

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Well ... if you don't have big T.I.T.S., your heart rate's not going to be quite as well-defined or stable on a bike ... and the road is different than a trainer, for sure. Were you pushing a tough gear on the bike? What was your cadence? These will all affect your heart rate ... |
