Now, time to ask nutrition questions. What do you use and why. I need your experience. I used FRS in the past for marathons and half marathons but what do yall think.
Billy Billy I am NOT a fan of infinit, or any of the endurance drinks. I just dont like them. I drink 1/4 strength Gatorade GU ( 3/4 water, 1/4 Gatorade ) The full strength stuff is too sweet. I eat uncrustables ( prepackaged peanut butter sandwiches ). I have one sandwich every hour on the bike. They are 280 cals each. I also have one apple cinnamon hammer gel after each sandwich. They taste like apple pie. On the run I "eat off the course" using water, gels and endurolytes. I always use the same nutrition when I train. Occasionally I will eat jelly beans while I am on the bike too. Gary is a peanut butter and jelly purist...I'll let him explain!!! Let the games begin Pete!!!!!!!!!! |
