Good to hear you sniffed out his D-Baggery tendancies. Kick him to the curb.

Bring on #2. Well not that #2 the 2nd guy that is.

Nicole83 - 2009-08-14 12:24 PM Good realizing that #1 has d-bag potential before you have to experience it first hand!

Can't wait to hear about the second round with #2... you liked him better anyway.

KelliD - 2009-08-14 1:20 PM Oh right, must slipped my mind.  Well, I've had 3 dates with guy #1....and I don't think I'm interested in a 4th.  Actually, I know I'm not.  For so many reasons, not to mention I think there's serious potential for this guy to be a complete d-bag.  Guy #2 (who seems really sweet...especially comapred to #1) and I had to reschedule our 2nd date, twice actually.  Totally my fault since I was a bad planner this week.  So we're going out again on Sunday.

Newtons1st - 2009-08-14 11:20 AM

Oh BTW How is our Dating darling doing on her 2nd dates? I havent heard anything. We need details.

Monday Monday... came too fast for me.

How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was uneventful, but I just got a call this morning from my baby sis and she's pregnant!

Same here!!!

Congrats on soon becoming an aunt....how exciting!!  saturday I went to visit one of my friends from college who had a baby earlier this year.  Her daughter is hands down the happiest baby I've ever seen in my life!!!  They are so lucky, she's so good.  And super adorable!

My mom called me yesterday afternoon and the first thing she said was 'one week from right now it will all be over.  how do you feel?'  Ummmm.....scared $hitless.  As if I wasn't getting nervous enough!  I was warned that during my taper there was a good chance I'd start second guessing my fitness/training/etc.  I really didn't think I would since I fully knew I'd put in the time and training (even with my little bouts of slacking).  BUT, I think I spent the better part of the weekend freaking out and thinking of a million and one "what if's".

What if grasshoppers had machine guns, birds wouldn't f*ck with them...  No What If's missy!  You have put in the time, the effort, built your foundation and you are gonna have an awesome race!!!  Get your mind right, stay positive, and the glory will be yours for the taking!!!

Congrats on the baby news! ~ any pressure on the older sis to follow suit? ~ lol!

I had a decent weekend, but it wasn't all that I had planned it to be training wise.  Got all the school shopping, school check in (jr high - 7th grader) things done.  Got the wife all outfitted with a new wardrobe for the new position / new school year.  I managed to get in my longest swim ever and felt pretty good too!  I am looking forward to my first official Olympic distance race this Saturday.  Looking for some redemption from BSLT.

Yikes!  Monday already.  Vacation was way too short.  The weather was beautiful there.  I mean...Eric and I ran at noon with no problems whatsoever.

Kelli - you are sooo ready for Timberman!

Congrats Nicole!

I was running a little late on Sunday to swim. I got there just as the group was leaving the shore. So I  slipped off the shoes threw the shirt down and jumped in. Had a good swim. got back and started to put on the shoes and they are full of ants. Awesome. So I bang them off on the sidewalk and put my shirt on and head to the car. Of course the shirt was on the shoes and guess what also has ants all over it. I am sure I put on quite the show slapping myself and jumping up  and down. Damn Ants.

They were the good old fire ants of Texas. My Houstonites can confirm how fun they are. I have about 15 bites on my body and they dont look pretty.

Dirty Rotten Bass-tards is what Fire Ants are!!! Sorry, worthless, sacks of donky dung dipped in hell's fury!  Mean little she-iites!

There have been some damn funny stories shared...  mainly thanks to Todd & Nicole ~ our main source of cheap entertainment... but we are one big happy dysfunctional family, and we love them the same!

KD ~ what up racer chick?  You gettin' psyched?  I might be more excited about your upcoming performance / race than I am about my measly lil' Olympic (compared to your HIM ~ that is).

Yep tune in weekly for the misadventures of Todd. Where stupid shite seems to always happen to me.

Oh and last night I had to dig through the trash to find my car keys. Of course I had just mowed and the grass clipping were on top and I had to get to the bags in the bottom. Fun times. Another time when no sense of smell comes in handy.

They were in the ice bin in the freezer.

Don't ask me how they got there, I have no effing idea.

I don't know why I always insit on playing the "hide and go seek my keys" game with myself every day.  I don't even like that game.

This is what happens when I get a late start to the day....I miss all the good stuff!

Betsy....those photos are hilarious!

I'm getting RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED for Sunday!!!!!  And surprisingly I'm really not nervous at all yet....although I'm sure I'll be singing a different tune Sunday morning.  My quads still feel pretty beat up, and anytime I feel a strange twinge or ache I get mildly panicked.  I have a million things to get done before I leave town on Thursday.
