Subject: RE: left.right.repeat group -closed - Full of a bunch of winners...YEAH!I know a few of you have talked about struggling with running. I have a few suggestions. First, get in a group. I use to be a lone runner and the longer distance is hard by yourself. My running groups hold me accountable to show up and it's a social club. I know more about the people I run with than most of their friends. It's amazing how much people open up to each other when they suffer together. Misery loves company. Second, try a different route. If you run on the road, do a trail run. If you are on a treadmill, get outside. If you are use to running long, try a speed workout or tempo run. Mix up the workout or else you will get burnt out. Third, track your time. You don't have to be a slave to your watch but just monitor your time and try and beat it the next time you run that route. I look at past year's logs to determine how my training is going for this year. Just a few suggestions I wanted to throw out at you. Edited by jslacker 2010-03-02 10:31 AM
