I believe I would have done the same thing with the marathon. If it's not a race that I have been building for, I figure it's not worth 4 hours of misery to participate in conditions like you were facing.
Chris Thanks Chris I appreciate the support. Being in the uk you know what it was like last weekend and yep as it was not my goal of the year, but a training run so why put myself through hell (and put Mrs T through coming to watch ! ) ankle feels slightly looser this evening after swimming today so i think i will be racing in 2 sundays time ok, just not 100% match fit, but still racing which is the main thing. My main race atm is 4.7.10 bournemouth oly so still on target for that, note to self, no more rugby !! T |
