Am back on the morning run schedule this week. Headed out early into the darkness and fog and did my planned run this morning. Ran 10 Miles @ GA Pace down at the beach. Was Pretty Grey and Misty and I think we are supposed to get some showers in the next day or so.

Now at: 178/250 - 71%

Team: 55.74%

Run Well Team Pfreaky Pfft

So I figure that with all the running Waterdog is doing, there's NO way he could be biking or swimming, right???? I repeat, right?????

So I checked his log, just 'cause you know.... it might make me feel just a bit better about my lowly training amounts.... And this is what I saw:

Bike: 18h 45m 49s - 365.3 Mi
Run: 21h 54m 52s - 178 Mi
Swim: 41m 56s - 2100 Yd

Say what? Not only does he have more running miles this month than anyone else in the Challenge, but he also has more T.I.T.S. than anyone on the BIKING team.

I feel OK about his swimming amount though.... Oh wait... I just read his log entry for today, and get the feeling that his swimming yardage is about to ramp up. A lot.

Wow, that's some impressive training. I feel so.... wimpy. LOL

D001 - 2008-02-19 3:56 PM So I figure that with all the running Waterdog is doing, there's NO way he could be biking or swimming, right????

So I guess my days of flying under the radar are numbered

You are correct that my swim yardage is way down so far for the year. I am recovering from a Torn Labrum and the Surgery that I had in December to repair it.

The good news is that my Ortho said that I am now clear to swim. He did say to take it easy for the next couple of weeks while my shoulder gets used to the idea of swimming again. (Been out of the water since September)

But, my training won't start to get really sick until after my Half Ironman in the end of March. This is when I start the final build training for Ironman CdA.

Just so you guys don't think I am totally wacked out with my run volume; I don't even make it into the top 20 of my marathon group. I would have to be running an 80+ mile week to break into the list. (The Top Runner is usually north of 100 MPW) The top 15 runners have all logged more than 500 miles for the year as of last Sunday. (I had a measly 420 miles for the same period)

Thanks for checking up on me Dee

Keep it up, and good luck on your HIM coming up.

Tell me about it... 100+ a week.... That's like uhm, AT LEAST 20 miles 5 days a week.. Nope, I don't think my job, family, life would let me away with that one...

So Waterdog, I have to ask....... Are they single?

Now that I think of it, I don't think any of us are. In fact, a few of us even have 2 training plans in the house

100 MPW is not too bad if your running every day and mix in some doubles. I am basically doing the same plan I used to top 100 but just without the afternoon run. (I use the extra slot for my bike workout)

During Tri training, 80 is about max for me and is not really sustainable mostly because it is all singles.

Headed out into the morning mist and did 12 miles @ GA Pace.

Now: 190/250 - 76%

Team: 57.9%

Also, I have hit most all of my planned workouts so far and if this continues, there is a chance I could top 275 miles for the month which would put me at 110%. (Since we are allowed to go over and have it count)

Just gotta stay in the groove a little bit longer. Plan calls for me to be at 225 after Saturday's run. (Or 90% Complete)

7h 24m 26s - 43.13 Mi for the month out of 55

Cool thing about this run was I felt really good and not sore afterwards or late in the run.

Longest run since my HIM

Finally got that run in today Between moving into the new place and starting my new job yesterday its been a little difficult to get everything in.

So I guess I'm only at about 18/40 miles. I think I have some big running to do the next 9 days, but I'll get it done..... I hope

Hit the track this morning in the snotty weather and did another one of these silly progression runs. It went better than it has in the past and I even had a bit of gas left in the tank when  I was done. (No Puking Today)

Yeah, pretty much. I did see 93% of Max HR at the very end, but did not hold that intensity long enough for the tummy to want to execute an "Emergency Dismount"

Ok, I'm converted.  Rest Weeks Really work.

I'm having an amazing workout week this week and feeling great.  I'm going to have to up my monthly goal thought, since I'm 49/42 for the month (111%) after my brick today.  so I'll up my "goal" to 50 and put in at least another 6 miles next week.

wow, when you run more, you actually get better at running... who'd a thought???

go PPFFT!!!!!
