Donskiman - 2008-10-11 12:14 PM I did a 5K this morning in 21:29. Took 3rd in AG. The weather got much colder today. I may do a few more miles later.
Congrats! I did my oly tri today so that's another 6.2 miles of running. I did it (1500m/28mile/10K) in 2:43:44 according to my watch. Splits will be up tomorrow. I got third overall female and first in my age group. It felt great. I've really missed racing.

Wow!  Congrats Pam!  We've got a lot of podium representation from the HH.  Sounds like everyone had a great weekend...

I have one last tri for the year on Sunday. Hopefully I can add to that representation.

Meanwhile, I did no training at all this weekend. Took our kids and some friends and their kids tent camping all weekend. Felt weird to pack for 2 nights and not have a tech shirt, bike shorts, or anything. Kind of nice actually.

Back to it today. Going to shoot for a 6 mile run at lunchtime.

You're welcome... it was my brainless, veg in the chair, recovery task after babysitting my niece and nephew for 30 hours.

I just got in a smidge over 3 miles.  I was aiming for 3.5 miles, but I had my first ever run-home-before-the-poop-flies kind of run.

Hmm, I see why y'all aren't fond of them. Makes you want to run faster only that makes.... well YOU know.  Argh.

Well, as long as you're not weighing it to do a mass balance study.  Nutrition in...waste out...THEN we'd be concerned...

Have a good run...

Crap Rats, here we go again.

I knocked out a hilly 6 miler at lunchtime today. No issues for me. Went about an hour before so I was nice and empty.

I ran about 7.5 today with my wife. She would fit right in with all you potty stop people. Had to stop about halfway and had to rush home at the end. She made it OK. Trying to find a route we can run together that has potties available is challenging. We're doing a half mary in December and she needs to get in a few longer runs.

Congrats to Sparco on the nice marathon. I don't imagine he'll be running much in the next few days but I've found that a short run a couple days after the race is very helpful in speeding up recovery, although the run may feel terrible.

Just an easy 4-5 miler today at lunchtime. Swimming hurt like a mug this morning, so more than likely 4 miles.

I can't fathom eating an Egg McMuffin at all, much less as a prerace breakfast. Something about the way that egg looks makes me gag.

I must have an iron stomach.  I even did it before my half ironman with no issues.  I lof Egg McMuffins...

I'm more of a hawkwich guy.

What's a hawkwich you may ask? It's a waffle topped with peanut butter, banana, and syrup.

That's my breakfast of choice for anything longer than a sprint tri.
