wgraves7582 - 2009-11-25 11:21 AM Stacie,

Better you than me - and I hope tomorrow is nowhere as stressful as today is for you.

People need to get over themselves and realize they are not being offended - carp happens and sometimes messages don't get relayed - they will survive!

And people wonder why I like walking around Yosemite by myself????? - LOL

Have a Happy Thanksgiving Queen Rockstar Cool

I is here!

All the ghoulies must be out training or prepping to eat festively tomorrow!

I am only here until 1:30 so I am eating lunch now - yummy!

Yup I was at the pool.  Back for a bite to eat and then hopping on the trainer for workout #2

Sorry to hear about the hip Neal but glad it is not worse than what it is!

Are you able to kick while swimming or are you limited to pull buoys like I am currently?

Have a great Thanksgiving!

I've been kicking, but I should probably ask to make sure if that is okay.  I asked about biking and she was on board with that.  I guess we'll see how things progress.  Although it would have been nice to have an excuse not to do that monster kick set my workout called for today Tongue out

Well, the workouts are done.  The bags are packed.  Time to hit the road.  It will be a grueling 1 hr drive to my parents' place, but I think I'll survive.

Internet access will be scarce, but I'll check in when I can.  Later ghoulies!

iowagander - 2009-11-25 1:13 AM Evening Ghoulies. Unfortunately I had a rather craptacular day mostly due to receiving "an email" from my son's teacher first thing this morning. Apparently there have been two MAJOR projects he hadn't even started that are both late and that he had neglected to even tell us about at home. Needless to say we had some words when I got home. Now it's time to start some homework uber-micromanaging. Can't wait...

Unfortunately, leaving work early in order to catch his teacher (for another really pleasant conversation) meant I missed out on my 3.5 miler today. I've got a 35 minute tempo run tomorrow though, and if things at work go well I may be able to sneak it in before I get in a bonus workout with one of our officer applicants. She's nervous about the running and exercises she'll be doing at OCS and it's my privilege to work with folks like her to get them ready to go. I really do enjoy these workouts because they're some of my best ST sessions (because I get to be just a teensy-weensy bit sadistic).

Now it's time to go catch up on the VERY chatty events of the day.

Sorry to hear about that Tom. How old is your son?

He'll be 12 in January if he makes it that long

So, I have another T-giving cooking question. Help! I am making the green bean casserole (with the french fried onions, etc) and I bought fresh green beans. I have only done this with canned...do I steam the beans before I put them in the casserole/ove? The directions are to bake @ 350 for 30 minutes. I'm afraid the beans won't be cooked. What do you guys think? Should I at least blanche them before I put the casserole together? (hope somebody sees this before diner tomorrow!)

I would steam them for about 5 minutes before. If not they probably will be al dente and everyone knows that green bean cassarole must not be crunchy.

Happy Thanksgiving!

i would cook them before you put them in the casserole.   maybe for the 1/2 the time you would normally.

i love that greenbean casserole.
