rnihill - 2011-08-17 10:30 AM Ugh, I decided to eat dinner and put the kids to bed before updating the spreadsheet!   I'm now officially updated and not quite (as much of a) slacker...  Laughing

ha, right there with ya, sister, except ... I had potato soup for dinner (just a reheat) and no kids. Can't say I often have kids for dinner, though, they take too long to cook ...

Yeah, I'm slightly less of a slacker now, too, but hey, since nobody wants to be DFL or the team albatross, I'm actually providing a valuable service since nobody else has to be

6 miles--dang! Well done! I hope you took them easy. Distance is distance.

Congrats on your awesome placing, btw ... of course you went for it. I would have. I am stupid and crazy too, that way. Only it would have been, say, to not be DFL. Heh ...

Went to the doctor today. Had x-rays taken. And yep, my back is all screwed up.... The doctor said, "I have no idea how you've been walking around for a month like this." I now have a prescription for muscle relaxants, but haven't filled it yet. I hate taking medications, even when it's supposedly 'good' for me.

Oh well. This too shall pass. Maybe I could substitute a nice glass of wine for the muscle relaxants. Would that work? LOL

Red wine and {{{MELON PRESSES}}}!!!

Hm. Also maybe if you went around giving {MELON PRESSES} to everyone. They are good core work if you really squish 'em.

Muscle relaxants? Any PT prescribed? Poor Deevil ...

There is actually 3 of us. I will have to find a pic but they thought we were the twins instead of my brother and I being the set of twins in the family.

I am sure a glass of wine with said muscle relaxants would work quite well - but not sure that is doctor recommended.

Awe....thanks for adding me into the numbers for the most awesome team!  I'm right on track according to my training plan.  Only getting sick or injured will stop me now!  Heading out for a 6ish mile run in about 2 hours!  Cheers!

Well I just finished an unplanned, albeit short run. For background, I commute 60 miles each way to work in unpredictable traffic. On average, it means 3 hours a day of windshield time. Whenever possible, I work from home on Fridays. My usual routine has me shutting down around 5 or 5:30 and heading to a local park for an easy walk. Fridays are also my rest day before Saturday's long run. Nothing out of the ordinary tonight other than thunderstorms to the west, but moving slowly and not expected to hit the area for a couple hours. At least that's what the weatherman said. At the turnaround of my walk, the clouds got dark fast. Lightening, hail, and high winds. Tree limbs were coming down. I was in a sundress and sneaks but went from walk to run in a snap. Very scary.
