I'm done too!

10650 yards this month.

Sorry Blizzards, it's the 15th and I'm only 70% done with my goal. Man, this has been one kick a#@ week for the Blizz...

Don't you think it would be great if we all could achieve our goals and there was no looser

Now your sounding like those "touchy-feely" people.

If it makes you feel better, call everyone who got into the pool more than they would have otherwise a winner.

My apologies to any who thinks I am sandbagging or anyone on the team is. I picked 25,000 yards which was reasonable. I just have become super motivated. When the boss says we are down by 2% it just motivates me to swim some more.

OK I have a problem. When 'So Fresh So Clean' of the Canadian team bested my 6300 meters by 100 meters I was taken aback. Who the hell would even want to swim that far? Who darest beat me? So I decided to try to put it out far enough that he would not break it.

I just finished doing 8300 meters (5 miles plus a 50 to boot). I am hoping that he won't beat it because I don't want to swim anymore.

No apologies necessary. The 'sandbagging' whiners don't get the purpose of the Challenge.

Capt. Gerb.

5000 yards for the week.  1000 short of this weeks goal.  I'll make it up next week.

On my way out of town.  Have a great weekend everyone.  Go Blizzards!

I just figured out I have about 4000 yards to go. I only will have time for about half that on Sat. So next week sometime I should be done.

These next few swims I'm going to focus pretty hard on speed for intervals. Probably only do 500 as a long but a few intervals of 400s, 200s, 100s.

Give it up Blizzards.  It's too cold to swim and you can't find your earmuffs. Falling through the hole in the ice doesn't count.

I think those are grounds to increase your goal this month. If you are swimming more than me in a workout, shouldn't your goal be higher? Higher than 130? Keep up the efforts anyway.

Oh sure Greg. Your 130,000 is an average of 4,333 per DAY, every day. At my current pace I could maybe do 50,000, unless I do it the Greg way of swimming most days, twice a day.

Now when I even drink water, my feet and hands wrinkle.

The time you told me of being to hold 1:20 for 100s; I'm about 30 sec slower, which in swimming world is very major. Look at it this way, your swim yardage alone is more than the Utah TEAM!

True -- His GOAL yardage is higher than all of  Team Utah--But I bet he's been swimming a year or 10 longer than anyone on TEAM UTAH!  ---  But -- he's only at about 40% of goal, whereas TEAM UTAH is over 72% of goal as of today!  Great swimming both SFSC and bikingbruise.   You are to be commended --- but TEAM UTAH is still in this ALL THE WAY!

GO TEAM UTAH

Ok, I've gotta leave a post in here about my swimming... To add to UTTriman's comments, I'd like to confirm that I just started swimming in November, and until this month, I've never in my life swam this much, nor have I had the chance to improve as much as I have. 15,000yds in one month is going to be a HUGE accomplishment for me... It may not sound like I've done much in comparison to the pros, but that's why the challenge works the way it does!

So, with that said, I'm gonna stick my tongue out now and say "neener, neener neener!"  I'm at 11,500yds so far(that's 76%!!), and plan on finishing up the rest of my distance next week to meet the goal that seemed so difficult to reach when I started!

The pros may want to start gearing up to crown team UTAH!!
