See, what do I know? I'm getting my hot-tri-girls all mixed up with their hot-tri-guys! LOL

And when I say "traitor" I don't mean it in a bad way. I have limited computer time, so want to be sure my posts go to our team

I get to play in the water again tonight and I cannot wait!

Beth, I've always loved swimming. These past couple of times in the water have me asking what happened, why did I stop? I know the answer, but it seems sort of silly considering how much I loved it!

I'm going to stay after coaching a little while this evening if I'm not too tired and swim longer. The top thing on our list for finding a fitness center is a pool. DH is out of town, but when he called me last night one of the first things he told me was that he joined a Gold's Gym short time and has been swimming He's a newbie at it and didnt' swim until he started tri-ing.

I was so jealous of him taking lessons, since I "knew" more about it than he did. I just didn't have the time, since when he started I was working full time and going to college. Swimming is the main reason I cut my hours at work.

Goooo Scott! Ummm, I'm geographically challenged. Where is Auburn? Or do I need to google it?

I've never jockstrapped anyone but MrUSMC, but I'm one of he best cheerleaders you can find out there.

Happy Thursday!

We have 102 people participating in the Challenge this month! For those of you who missed Sunday's “Challenge Update,” You can see it here: http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid...

Want to see the team rosters? Your goals? Other people’s goals? All of those are available here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=puhAA5NRKHA3l_GNYwG3Qdg

Each week, I’ll update the above spreadsheet. That way, you can chart your progress!

Team Spreadsheet "Due Dates"

The Challenge started on Nov 1st and ends on Nov 30th. All of your workouts during the month of November count.

Here are the "weeks" you'll use for reporting your workouts:
Thurs Nov 1 - Sunday Nov 11
Mon Nov 12 - Sunday Nov 18
Mon Nov 19 - Sunday Nov 25
Mon Nov 26 - Friday Nov 30

The "progress reports" (aka spreadsheets) will be due from the team leaders on these days:
Monday Nov 12
Monday Nov 19
Monday Nov 26
Saturday Dec 1st

The extra day is so that the team leaders can collect the end information without having to nag their team become overly stressed.

Team Leaders - Attached are the latest Team spreadsheets. Once you've entered your team's data, you can post the updated spreadsheets on the main Challenge thread. (This is the one with the push pin sticky. Since it's pinned to the top of the forum, it'll be easier to find. And the "chatter" on it has calmed down, so you don’t need to worry about it getting lost!) The teams are large, so if you want extra help, feel free to name an assistant captain!

If you have questions, post them on the main Challenge thread. That way, I’ll be sure to see them. (Or you can always PM me.)

I hope that your month is going well! This Challenge is all about working out - however you want to define it, meeting fellow BTers, and having fun! I hope that you've been able to accomplish all of these things during the past week.

Dee

it was a nice cocktail party with a fashion show to benefit a hospice for children.  Most awesome crab cakes I've eaten in a LONG time.  The little skirt and top I bought at Kohl's is being taken as a cocktai dress--love it cause it was really inexpensive!  And as usual, we didn't take pics but I'll put it on for a pic so we can post it over the weekend (hopefully)

Hey Dee ...

I got the latest spreadsheet, but the hyperlinks don't seem to be correct. When I click on them, I get people who aren't part of our team. I've corrected it on my copy. I'm attaching it here in case you want to grab a copy of it.

Thanks!

I think I'm not understanding....

1) There's a URL hyperlink --> That goes to the Google Spreadsheet. The first sheet is the Moscateers - that's team 1.... You need to click on the names at the top of the sheet to get to HCTC's spreadsheet.

2) The spreadsheet that I attached here in this thread is HCTC's spreadsheet, and is the latest update. That's the one that you download and fill in on Sunday/Monday.

3) On Monday, you post the HCTC spreadsheet on the main Challenge thread (with the sticky push pin at the top of the forum.)

4) On Monday/Tuesday, I'll collect all the spreadsheets. I'll update the master, and then update the Google spreadsheet.... Same thing though -- you'll always see the Moscateers on top. You'll need to click the HCTC "tab" to view your team's info.

Did this clear up any confusion? Or am I still not understanding your question?

Morning, team! Just checking in.

FYI I've had to revise my swim goal--pool is closed rest of month, and although I'll be traveling to other pools when possible, I don't drive (gasp! in L.A.?) and am not particularly wealthy.

Plus, I did say at the beginning of the challenge I'll need help in keeping me JUST to my goals ... I'm spozed to be tapering!!!

Happy Friday and have a great weekend, all!

Evening all!

Crazy few days at work so I haven't had much time to chat. What do you mean you CA folk weren't logged on at 1am to notice... hang on - Yanti was! But I didn't even have the time to tell her to go to bed

Don't know how much time I'll get to post over the weekend, so I thought I'd better report in with my progress now.

Week 1: 104 mins running and walking combined. No bike sessions as yet, but hopefully I'll manage one this weekend (although DH is working - boo - so I'll be looking after DD on my own for most of the time).

Hope you all have a brilliant weekend!

I'm talking about the revised spreadsheet you attached in your previous post. Some of the team members on the spreadsheet for HCTC were hyperlinked to their profiles. Some of them, however, were pointing to the profiles of people on other teams. On the one I uploaded in my last post, I went through and updated all of the links so that they go to the correct profiles for our team members.

Sorry if I caused more confusion.

just checking in with everyone...no major plan except to stretch thesetight hams and calves out and get ready for my 8 K.

Yanti, I'm looking at a half mary in mid March followed 3 weeks later by my annual 10K. Do you think those races are too close? I'm thinking it would be do-able but I'm not sure if it's more of a suicide by running

Oh! OK! I understand now! Thanks for explaining.

Thanks! I will download your copy and save it.

I hadn't been concerned with hyperlinks, because I wasn't using them. But you're right -- you (as team leader) could use them to get to your team members.

    Thanks!

Also, we have a new participant who'd like to join the challenge. ACGray22 is a newbie, who lives in San Diego.

I'm thinking HCTC has some members in that area???? If so, may I add ACGray22 to your team?

(Gailg, it seems, doesn't want to participate in the challenge after all. I can remove her info, and put in ACGray's instead. That would keep you at 16 members.)
