One of the dogs had an allergic reaction to vaccine and we spent the last couple of hours at the Vet hospital. Evidently several dogs had the same issue. Tired and sore from struggling with the dogs. Thats a lot of miles all at once!!! First week of "structured" training was good. I did everything I was told. Had to move things around a bit as the weather has sucked. Today my aero bottle had slush in the bottom it was so cold! My arms are a little sore as I have had to do intervals in the pool...I am not a big fan of speed work...but I did it! I joined Hopkinton running club this week in an attempt to embrace my very deep inner love of running ! |

Wet suit came in, new Xterra (the 99.00 one offered everywhere), swam in it for the first time today. I swam 1050 yards in 18:00 flat with the wet suit, 20:53 without the wet suit. That is a time savings of almost 6 minutes on as HIM and probably 10 minutes on a full. Best 100 bucks I have spent so far. Got done with my swim and ran 5 miles in 43 minutes, back to my house. If I was to get a 6 minute lift it would be wonderful. I don't have a waterproof watch but may get a cheap one for the race. Check my time at the half way mark and slow up if necessary. Oh well. |

I vote for only SBR times, to easy to pad the other numbers, but I will leave the final determination up to you. Pray for my son-in-law and daughter. He is scheduled to be on his way home from Iraq for R&R but his flight got cancelled from Iraq. He needs another scheduled flight or all of their plans will be missedn and money forfeited. |

Managed to get a 1hr trainer ride in last night, finishing a little before 11pm. Probably a run tonight in the same time frame. Billy, Lena have a great and safe competition. Due to work I haven't swam since Saturday (but it looks like I avg about 2:09/100m for 400m in the Dash n Splash!). Missed last nights workout due to work. Quick run/ride tonight. Swim tomorrow. Some things are better than kicking Lena's butt! Rode for 75 minutes in the wind and hills (and dogs), did a quick run with my daughter just for the of the bike feeling. (15 minutes) for a total on day one of 90 minutes workout. By the way, my son-in-law is in Germany and heading home for R&R. Thanks for the prayers. Billy |

Did only 1 hour of spinning in the entire day... forgot swim goggles, so couldn't swim grr. Was hoping for a run with the baby outside, but I'm hosting Easter, so that means I was scrubbing the house down (in between taking care of the baby ) all day, pretty much non-stop. So, you are ahead of me, Billy.. and will likely be for the rest of the weekend. I have a wiecked long menu to cook up and still more house to clean, on top of Easter Egg hunts and having two kids at home. But, monday i'm back to normal life, and i will catch you (and then smoke you)!! |
