I'm excited for you guys!  I'm going to have fun being a spectator!

Justin - tell your wife congrats on becoming a triathlete!  I hope she had fun.  Quite a chilly swim for her first one.

Nicole - hope you feel better soon!

Thanks BvD!  I passed on the message.  She had a great time - the water was actually warm it was the getting out and first few miles on the bike that were a little chilly.

300m swim - 9:00mins (breast stroked the distance)
T1 - 4:00mins (lol - drying her feet, getting her bearings)
10 Mile bike - 37mins 15.9 avg (she really enjoyed the bike and is super excited about next weeks relay - 15mile bike)
T2 - 1:20
3 mile run - 41mins (walk/run

Total time was 1:34:10
(she secretly had a goal of 1:30 - so she was very close/therefore very critical of where she could have gotten her 4 mins back... lol!)  Overall it was an awesome day to race!

I hope the weather next weekend is close to this - especially for the run - no one was sweating profusely or looked like they were dying too terribly!  It was fun cheering Jen and others on!  Pop-poms and cheerleading skirt were fun, but the bloomers kept riding up... lmao!

Y'all are gonna rock the heck out of Austin!!!

Kelli after the race you need to eat all the BBQ you can handle. Nichole. You really need to quit licking the shopping carts. I figured you would have learned by now. As we can see normal pedals and clips can't take the force EvD is pushing with. There is a new triathlete in the woods family. BvD is getting her cheering face on for the longhorn. Maybe justin will let you borrow his skirt and bloomers. And me I am getting ready to head to Vegas on Wednesday. What a fun week for everyone.

Wake up everyone today is going to be great. Races on the horizon. Vacation just hours away. Training at hand. I think I might be going into the costume building buisness. Just sold all four of my ghostbusters get ups from last year on eBay and I did better on that deal than what my 401 k has done in the last year. Of course it was not a fair fight. I am thinking a nice gently use aero helmet is in my future.

A Speedo & a Sperm Helmet.... now that's a costume!   Grow a beard and you could go as Faris Al-Sultan! lol!    Can't forget the man-bra half shirt thingy he wears!

Got the Wheelbuilder (make me fast as EvD ~ NOT!) wheel cover mounted and ready for a few test rides beginning this evening!  Curious to see/hear how it feels/rolls.  I wish it made the whoosh, whoosh sound when it rolled like the 'real' discs do!  That is one of the coolest sounds ever! lol!

Between the 70.3 this weekend, the family relay and the approaching 140.6 ~ I am as giddy as a school girl lately!  I can't get enough of the pump you up youtube race vids!

KD & EvD are gonna rock Austin town!!! Best of luck to both of ya ~ make it a super fun race and throw in some 'c' action when ya can!  Y'all are super fit and ready to rock!

You'll be faster than me in the Ironman for sure, right now and maybe forever my pace will be 0mph The sound from the cover is a very disappointing nothing, you won't even realize it's there which is a good thing I guess. It'll make a slight rattle when you go over big bumps but that's about it. They need to make a little speaker we could put on our bikes that makes the disc sound

Eric is addicted to those too!

Tuesday...better than Monday but not quite Friday!

So 60% chance of rain here tomorrow which probably means our engagement pics are cancelled AGAIN!  So frustrating.   Hopefully third time is a charm.

Todd - I told your wife to win you lots of money

Hi gang.  Still sick and bored to tears.  Though I have read two mindless novels and I'm moving onto a third today.  And I'm "working from home."  Or ya know, trying.

Good luck to everyone this weekend!  I'm so excited to hear how it goes and read race reports and whatnot.

Besty, that sucks about the engagement pics.  We were in the same boat with ours... and I ended up not being happy with the way they turned out.  Good news was, we loved the wedding pics, so it all worked out in th eend.

BvD - thanks for telling the wife. I have told her the same thing. Daddy needs a new carbon frame with some 808s. We are heading out tomorow evening and will be back late on Saturday. Winter training planning will commence on Sunday. Plus Sunday I will be cheering my peeps in the longhorn. BT blasting at full volume.

Work is soo busy and somehow my pile to get done before I leave Thursday just got loads bigger!  Don't know when I'm leaving here and don't know if/when I'm making it to the gym/pool....uuugh!

Happy Wednesday folks!

Thanks for the sympathy Nicole.  Glad you at least liked the wedding pics.  We'll see how things go next Wednesday.

And Todd - just trying to help a brother out!  Have fun!

Eric, not sure about those colors... but otherwise you guys are great.  Hehehe.

And Todd, thanks for the thought, but you can keep the stripper gram.    husband just called and told me he's making the trip home tonight to be with me... even if he does have to leave at 4 a.m. tomorrow to get to work on time.  LOL
