Did a double workout today since I have been loafing it this week. In the pool this morning for a straight 1000 yard. After work went to a metro park and did a hilly run of 5.17 miles. Still cold here so am going to spin class in the morning. Everyone have a nice weekend.

The plant is having problems with the new machine so I won't be able to do the 5K tomorrow. Another day inside a cold plant, I'll still try and get a run in anyways. Somebody do something cool for me this weekend.

Did my 60 minutes run this morning. Walking every 20 minutes is working very well, the walk comes just as the numbness starts. I would kill for some pizza however I had WAY too many beers on Wednesday so I'll pass on them.

Congrats George.

Ran after dinner tonight and felt like crap. But after i looked at my time and was actually really good. Felt really slow and heavy. Oh well.

Looks like a nice weather week here so week is full. Spin class on monday, track practice on Wed., 35 mile group ride on Thur. and a 70 mile group ride next Sunday. Sould be fun. 10 miles longer than last ride. Of course swimming and running mixed in also. Later.

5.29 mile run at 10:31 pace, officially the longest run of my life. Found if I bring my pace up to the low 10's high 9's which is fast for me the feeling comes back into my feet. Will have to expirement with this further.

Went on a group ride tonight. Really windy. Always felt like the wind was in our face. Nice ride, 31 miles at a 17 mph pace.

Congrats on the race. Looks like you could have really used a boat instead of a bike.

Finally seeing some potential. Did a 6.59 mile run 10:34 pace, only had some slight tingling around 33 minutes. Sped up a little bit and it went away. I guess I need to keep my pace up, but at least I can now run without discomfort. Whoo hoo! And Jetpack my heart rate was in the mid 140's PRE was 4-5. Now if I can just get my weight to come down.

Pat,

That is awesome!  I am considering a long ride this week as well.  2 weeks til my 70.3 in Cali so I'll probably go easy and long.

Budda,

Thanks for the voice mail.  Your now on my VOICEMAIL podcast.  Published last night.  Glad to see the HR coming down.  GIve it time.  It will get lower for required effort but it takes time.  Alot of time.

Hopefully everyone is training hard and doesn't have time for update. I am currently fight an IT Band problem in my knee. Have to start physical therapy to help the pain. Trying to do other things besides run. Not good timing with a race in less than 3 weeks. Swam a mile today. Felt good after the first 500 yards or so.

Hope all is well. Later.

Hey PG, I hope your knee gets to feeling better soon! Pain issues are never fun to deal with.

I am finally feeling better running and having a lot LESS pain in my shin. I had two torture sessions of ART and have no pain at all in one leg! Now I am hopefully that the other will get there.

I swam 1500 this morning and then ran 7miles this afternoon. That's the longest I have ever run! I'm so pumped up about it!! That half marathon is right around the corner.

Hope everyone is training hard.

I'm getting some big projects done around the house. I haven't been out for two weeks now, hopefully the triathlons include moving six tons of stone.

The 5K went well I was shooting for 30 minutes. I finished 31:50, not too bad considering I haven't run in four weeks. But, I did pull something high up in my right leg really bothered me all this week. Then today I had the Soldier Feed 10 miler. Leg hurt the whole way, was trying for under two hours.

Finished 1:59:28. Had to stop at 3.5 miles and loosen up the left shoe. On the second five miles I picked up the pace to keep the feeling in my foot but this really bothered my leg.

Anyway finished under my goal and now I have a whole month before my first Tri of the year. Looking forward to running with smoe more of the Jetpack group in MI.

Hey Guys!!! Been MIA myself............BUT been training really well this past few weeks and am starting to figure things out. Up to 1000m in the pool and tolerant of that, have been biking okay, three times this past week, 22, 17, 13 and been running well. Averaging just under 8 minute miles for the run portion.

June 10th is quickly approaching for my very FIRST tri ever here in Ann Arbor Michigan. My first 10k is this next weekend the 2nd of June here in Royal Oak and am beginning to get excited for all of the events.

Sorry, haven't chatted in so long... purchased a Zoot Z1 wetsuit this week and am going to get the in the lake here next tuesday or thursday for a group swim. Things are beginning to look up for me. Actually beginning to really feel like a triathlete.

I still have the cd's Ty, let me know an address to send them to next! Best of luck to all of you, and I believe I'm entering the Firecracker also in Benton Harbor, long as it isn't too late!

Take care everyone!

Hello everybody. Training has been slowed a little by a sore knee. Found out it is my IT Band. Have been doing thearpy on it. Can't run more than a couple miles before sharp pain is in my knee.  Doing more swimming and biking since that doesn't bother it.

My first try was last weekend (May 20) in Cincinnati Ohio. Pretty good race. Only finished 10 out of 19 in my age group but was 63 out of 250 overall. Took the week off to rest a little. Gearing up for June 30 in Michigan with George and Kim. Hpefullly my knee will be better my then. We will have to get a picture before the race.
