It went better than it has in the past and I even had a bit of gas left in the tank when I was done. (No Puking Today) Now at: 200/250 - 80% Complete No puking...does that mean you didn't push hard enough:; Nice training as usual~ You are doing an awesome job Kathy! |

Pro 4541 A farming town in MN | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT Got in 4.8 miles on an indoor track. Ran mainly by heartrate. In Z2 (max 150 bpm), averaged a 9:31 pace...about right... Edit: oh, and for Brett's benefit, at 39.4 miles...66% of goal...yeah, I know I'm behind...I may have to tag on a few miles for my long run tomorrow... Edited by sparco 2008-02-22 9:38 AM |

Champion 5345 Carlsbad, California | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT Did 10 miles @ Recovery pace this morning down at the beach in the spitting rain. Sort of reminded me of the Surf City Half Marathon I ran a few weeks ago. Running in a rainstorm is definitely more fun than it looks. Now at: 210/250 - 84% Team: 67.17% I have a 12 mile run planned for tomorrow and should not have any problems getting it logged in time to count for this week. (That would put me at 88% with 6 days left to run the final 28 miles) Seems like I will be able to get pretty close to 110% for the month if I continue to hit all of my planned workouts. |

So I guess I'm only at about 18/40 miles. I think I have some big running to do the next 9 days, but I'll get it done..... I hope
YOU CAN DO IT! WE HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOU!! |

Good to see you recognizing your "behindness", Sal! I got another half mile today -- I'm at 30.05/35 miles 86% of goal. I'll probably finish up tomorrow, and add another 10% or so to my total to help the team out!

Champion 5345 Carlsbad, California | Subject: RE: Pitter Patter of Fast Feet... aka PFFT I went of the plan a bit today and did a little test to measure my current marathon pace. (Using HR to measure Intensity) Did 12 miles with 7 @MP, and the last one @ HMP. Note to the casual observer, these paces were quite a bit faster than what I have been using in my progression runs. (According to the marathon gurus, I have been running too slow) I expected this would either go really well, or I would be left gasping/puking on the side of the track and destroy any chance of a good long run tomorrow. All in all, I am pretty pleased with the results. It was not the sufferfest that I expected it to be and I ran faster than I ever have in my life over any distance. Now at: 222/250 - 89% Team: 73.94% |

Hahahahaha - I was going to make a reference to having cheesecake. But I decided that if he was sick and all, it might not be a good time to remind him of the existence of cheesecake. |

Do you think it has something to do with the fact that I don't run? Hmmm.... LOL CONGRATULATIONS on running faster! Well, I did not know how to run when I started hanging out with these folks. I am definitely not fast enough to run with the big dogs, but hanging out with them when they are not running has sure put some mojo in my running. But I bet you have made a few speedy running friends while putting all of these challenges together. (Like Daremo and the rest of his challenge team) I am sure they would offer any help that you asked for |
