Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA it was a busy weekend! I hope you all had a nice 4th of July. I imagine its similar to our Australia Day on the 26th of January, when everyone has the day off and celebrates with friends & family - lots of fun! I had a good weekend of running - yesterday I did some hill work and today I did a LSR of 17.7kms, the longest I have ever run. Another 4k and it would have been a half marathon! Tomorrow I am going to REST. I'm also going to adjust my goal distance for the month up because I've already run about 50k in the past week! Tracy - great run today! And I love the river photos. Kenny - your kids & wife are gorgeous! Lynne - I think that someone that can't say those things to your face, and instead leaves them on voicemail is a coward and definitely not someone worth keeping as a friend! I hope you feel better soon Have a great week everyone! Less than a week for me before I leave on my big trip |

Expert 1694 Illinois | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july D001 - 2008-07-05 11:52 AM Yes, I know this is a CASUAL run challenge. But I figured I'd stir things up a bit. Why? Um, well, just because I'm a "giver" like that. So, as of July 5th, here's where you all stand: Running - Percent completed (per spreadsheet): abake - 36.67% eurydice79 - 23.08% jrcody - 22.80% dcrunningdiva - 18.75% Kenny Black - 15.83% tlnewman30 - 10.67% peto_primo - 3.00% lyssa gator - 2.50% Triathlynne - 0.00% amyro1234 - 0.00% Congratulations to abake for taking the lead! After bombing out on the Move it or Lose it Challenge, I figured it might be good to take a conservative approach! |

Expert 1694 Illinois | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july Triathlynne - 2008-07-06 12:00 AM Hi folks. Haven't done anything since Wednesday. I've had such a rotten weekend. I got a horrible voicemail from a friend saying hurtful things and I've been under the covers all day today. I can't bring myself to face the world. Things have been iffy with this person for a while and something I did set her off so I've been depressed, extremely all day. I take things like this too personally. I should bother a f**k with people like this. I'm just up at almost 10pm, look like I've been punched a few times in the eyes because I haven't been able to stop crying. I just want to go home and never return. Urgh. Tomorrow I think I'm going to attempt a solo Olympic triathlon. Swim at the outdoor pool, bike the trail and then run part of it. I need to expel energy and I need to quit moping like an arse and let other people think they can get the better of me. I can't carry on being walked all over. No more. It's just times like these I feel like the only person on the planet. Sigh. No fireworks or BBQ for me either. I felt so sick I've only just eaten. Yes, the 1st since yesterday afternoon.
Think happy thoughts for me, please What a nasty little person to leave mean voice mails. No one needs that kind of negativity. I am sending good vibes your way and hope things improve. |

Elite 3494 Renton, Washington | Subject: RE: CASUAL run challenge--july I could feel the good vibes on my bike ride. Unfortunately our shower stuff didn't allow me time to run. Ron really wanted to get out on the bikes after we glued some pieces in place and I couldn't say no. He had worked really hard on it all weekend.
We took the green river trail and I'm ever so regretful that I forgot my camera. I really need a wee bag to put all my stuff in. Might go get one tomorrow! So no pics. Sorry about that.
I plan to run for an hour tomorrow to catch up on mileage and I have a triathlon this coming weekend too! YAY! More milage. My legs felt great on the bike tonight as did my lungs so all is well. For now. |
