Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge runnerx - 2008-12-03 12:14 AMWow!!! Seems like in every challenge there's always a night that the post padding just goes crazy!!!!!!!!!! THis must be it. I must catch up...I vote for the boots! Somehow I saw my name in some of the posts and it wasn't even me responding. But the boots...yeah baby!!!I feel like I'm going to be in the same boat with the holiday loneliness. This is my first holidays without any significant other to be with. Even after my divorce, or I should say separation, I had been lucky enough to meet up with someone who I thought was my real soulmate, even though each of our issues drove each other nuts. And I still don't understand that relationship. I've learned to be more aware of sensing everything and I swear there's something with her - we both have always known about our issues, but there's something deeper there. I just can't figure it out. Have you ever seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? It's about how you can't control who you even if thet are wrong. Good movie, one of my favorites. |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Hellllllooooooo, Vixens! Loff the boots. Loff them. Thank you, Dee! Cat - Can I come with you to the Opera House? I loved it there very very much. I have some cool pics of the front from the inside laying on a bench looking up. It was an awesome experience. I loggered my food for two and a half days! Yay me! 'Course, I'm starving now. Whatever, my tummy can HTFU. I should feed it wine. Too bad that is, um, "frowned on" at w*rk... Speaking of, I should do some w*rk tonight instead of catching up on all the post padding. Um, no I shouldn't. Sorry, momentary mental lapse! |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge Hey Vixens, got my first workout in against the challenge! I swam 1800 this morning. It felt pretty good, the shoulder only started to hurt after about 1000. My balance is off and I'm going to have to really work to get my stroke back, but it felt great to be in the water. My pool has south-facing windows and now that the sun is lower in the sky, it was shining into the water right in the middle so I got to keep swimming through this beautiful beam of light. I loved that. When I turned to breathe there I couldn't even see because it was so bright. Moments like that are really nice. |

So for your upcoming move, do you have to do anything to the new place before you move in? Have you scoped out a new fitness center? |

I'm one of those people that goes to a new place and cleans it top to bottom before I move in so I figure that will take a few days, maybe a week. Then I'm going to do as much painting as possible before I have my furniture moved. I like color so I'll want to personalize it and make it my own. I've been agonizing over the fitness stuff. I'd like to join Equinox which is beautiful and has locations all over the city. I can use the gym in Brooklyn Heights, very close to my new place, but the pools are all in Manhattan locations. But they are impeccably nice, never crowded and have unrestricted hours. So my thinking is that i'd go on the way to or from work. The locker rooms are nicer than my home so I could just get ready there. But I wonder if that's a bad call, to not have the swimming in Brooklyn. I just don't know. |

Are you someone who will go out of your way to get to the pool? |

Are you someone who will go out of your way to get to the pool? It's not close. I could bike there, it's about 4 miles, nice ride over the Brooklyn Bridge, quick shot across lower Manhattan then up the Hudson River path. I could take the train, it's about 5 stops. I don't swim on weekends though so I'm thinking it would work, I'll just swim when I'm in Manhattan for work and what not. Or maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into it. I travel about a mile to the pool now. It's a 20 minute walk or about 6-7 on the bike depending on the traffic lights. |

I am thinking he ordered me new headphones for my ipod. I asked for some since the old earbuds keep falling out when I sweat. Yuck. Then I decided that I really enjoy running without music. So, I'll be curious to see what it is... One more day to wait! |

There is a Y not so far away, but as all Ys go it's only as nice as it absolutely has to be. Beyond that there are tons of kids there, which I have nothing against, but I really don't like swimming with kids. I can hear them even under the water and it's distracting. I feel like I'm losing and giving up so much that I might just go with the nicer place and make the locations work. |

Yeah for me it would probably be the Y (but at the moment I'm boycotting them so I guess not) But if I were you I'd probably go for the nicer place. When does your membership expire where your at now? Will they let you have a trial membership at the new place to see if it would be a good fit for you? |
