Subject: RE: ultrahip_00's Mentor Group - Closed Again!i breath every 3rd stroke when in the pool - except when i am going really hard i breath every other stroke when i am in open water, mostly to one side, although i can do the other side if need be (sun is in my eyes, waves, etc ), and i look forward every 4-10 strokes, depending on where the course is/how long it is etc. i have been doing this tri stuff for exactly two years. . i can check back, but pretty much to the day. i started training mid june, 2007, and did my first sprint at the end of july 07. i really haven't done that many races, but where my base is at now - from the half iron training, a sprint will pretty much be a short workout (in comparison to my other workouts ), and an OLY is shorter then my weekend workouts ever are (exluding taper ). i think an OLY will leave me sore for a day or so, but a sprint shouldn't. once you have been consistently training for a while (years ), your body learns to recover much much quicker, which is nice! |
