I have friends who do it but I really have no interest in it. It depends what you want from yoga. flow/vinyasa/ash tanga is more of a workout vs Hatha which is more chill and stretch. I need it more for strength and flexibility than relaxation so I do ash tanga style. Most types have beginner level classes so just go to a class and try it out? Instructors usually ask if anyone is new to yoga and they are fine giving you some extra guidance during the class to help you out!mndymond - 2012-08-09 2:39 PM Girl Passing on Left - 2012-08-09 3:32 PM Flow yoga. Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. Ok, I have a few minutes here. I worked 10 hours last night, stopped and grabbed take-out on the way home for dinner. Got home, had 20 minutes to eat and change before I had to leave for my kayak class. Caleb was coming along to help with the class, and Donnie and Keri were going to go swimming. We saw it getting dark before we left the house, and there was a storm warning to the west of us, south of the lake. Got to the lake and a park ranger pulled up and said the class was going to be cancelled. He said a new storm just popped up, and there were tornado warnings with it. A lady from the park office was there, she's always behind the desk during the saturday classes, and was looking forward to the evening class. She wanted to go out, we were there early, so she and Caleb went for a short kayak trip. She told me he talked the whole time. I stood there with the ranger, and an intern and we talked for awhile, then as people came up for the class we had to let them know it was cancelled. We did end up staying for awhile talking about kayaks and kayaking with several people. The lady from the office told me they have maps of some moving water we might want to check out. She will be working tomorrow, and after Caleb and I get the new kayaks we will go see her for launch permits, and she's going to show us the maps. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. kns57 - 2012-08-09 3:30 PM Send good ju ju to my son right now. He has to make a decision. This is a good one. Last summer he worked as a temp for a friend of ours and he did a really good job. When the job opened up a few weeks ago, our friend wanted to hire our son back, however his boss and HR decided that they wanted someone with more experience. So, they hired this other dude. After a week, our friend hit the roof saying he needed someone who actually worked and did not spend his day on email and the internet. So, they called our son and have offered him a job. The decision part is that he has been working at Whole Foods for the past 9 months and really likes it. They are openinng a new store in South Carolina and the store manager for the new store wants our son to apply for a department head position out there. Both jobs would pay the same. One would be M-F with no weekends, the other would have weekends and nights since it is a food store. One would require him to move out of state, the other he would not have to move. Both are good opportunities, however the one in SC is not a done deal yet since they have not posted, interviewed or offered the position yet. Sending the juju! |

She so loves to spend time with her mommy, that is wonderful.Normally when I WFH the kiddos will still go down to grandma's. The in-laws have appointments today and Keri didn't want to go along while Caleb was at football camp. So far she has cleaned the kitchen, started the dish washer, cleaned up their bathroom, now she is washing off the front of the refrigerator, then she is going to rearrange the pictures and magnets that we have covering it. 1) I don't think I have ever been bored enough to do house work 2) Keri ROCKS! She said she was cleaning up so when I was done working I could play with them because the housework would be done. She is definitely a cool kid. She was a bit wound up and excited to be at Robin's, so Robin didn't get got to see the best of her. She was using her brother's phone today to text me from Grandma's just to see what I was doing. I think she wanted to rub in in that she got to play outside, and was now relaxing and watching TV. I think I'll keep her around for awhile. There, fixed it for you. Thanks Robin. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. ceilidh - 2012-08-09 3:57 PM I got a crappy run in this afternoon. Overall it was just plain yucky with lots of walking. I had to do it on the TM and I just could not keep it going. It was better than no run, but not my much. I intend to get a longer run or two in this weekend in the great outdoors. I also want to try the bike out in the real world and see how the new shoes/pedals work. That should be funny and hopefully, not too painful Now I have Okra to pickle and to freeze. Gotta have okra around for when I get a whim to make gumbo! Did you get off your azz today and move, or did you sit on the couch and eat a bag of chips? The important thing is you were moving, it doesn't matter how far or how fast! |

I see trips to Texas in my future. We have already determined that she will be 16 hours away from us. Too long a drive for a long weekend trip. that is a long drive and a hot one too! where is fort hood near? Here is the link to google maps. South of Dallas, north of Austin. |

Their coach works in the morning so he doesn't know what time yet. If it's too late in the day she won't be there. My husband's class reunion is tomorrow evening. It's at the park in town, the entire family is invited, the meat is provided and those attending are just asked to bring something to share. We will be in there tomorrow evening. Sunday I'm hoping to kayak... and run... and probably pick stuff up and put it down. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. Good afternoon Ghoulies! Jules - it's just a small shallow creek. Good for playing in just for fun, not good at all for floating down. A week and a half ago I called the store I bought our first 2 kayaks at and asked if they could get a Mist 9.5 and a Marvel 10. The guy told me he had a Marvel 10 there, and he'd track down a Mist for me and get it shipped to the store. I told him I'd be down today to pick them up. Caleb rode along with me, it was a 1:20 of driving. The store wasn't open yet when we got there so we walked over to a Starbucks to get a bottle of water, we were both thirsty. It was connected to a B&N which was open, so we browsed a few minutes and Caleb picked out 2 books that we bought. We went over then to the Outfitters to get the kayaks. We walked around for a few minutes looking at everything then I asked the cashier about the kayaks, they were supposed to be put aside for me, they weren't. She got a guy to come help us and he told me he had good news and bad news. Good news - he had both kayaks. Bad news - the Marvel didn't have a seat with it. The seat is removable, and somewhere it got lost. He told me he'd take $50 off the price if I still wanted it. I told him I couldn't replace the seat for $50. There was a Perception Prodigy 10.0 there, and it was less than the Marvel. He told me if I went with the Prodigy he'd knock a few dollars off for my trouble. I told him if he knocked $50 off I'd buy a pair of rock climbing shoes, too. He took the $50 off. I picked up a few small things, along with the climbing shoes, I also got a chalk bag and some chalk. I still walked out of there with all of that spending less than what I had originally planned. The Prodigy is comfortable to sit in in the yard. I'm going to take it out and put it in some water tomorrow. |

This weekends canning event was tomatoes. 14 quarts done. (The pickled okra is done, Jules. I am hoping it is as good as it looks. FWIW, unless you are in the dry part of the valley you are in, Okra won't do well. It likes it hot, hot, hot). Off to shower, laundry and get ready for the music up at Chimney Rock Park this evening.
