Subject: RE: left.right.repeat group -closed - Full of a bunch of winners...YEAH!Did y'all miss me? FBP, good deal on 25 years, I remember mine. Its much to be proud of. I am good on the Sunday call if you will still have me. Now, about my training, not so good. Had yet another bike crash Friday evening. Took my eyes of the road for 3 seconds, hit a pothole and couldn't regain control. Head first over the bars and right eye socket first on the pavement. 6 stiches and a lot of road rash and extremely sore teeth. Pretty frightened at first. Unable to see out of my eye, realized it was blood and I mean instantly covered. My son was riding with me and got to see the whole thing, said it was in slow motion. Bike is in the shop for repairs, hopefully out in a few days. Here is my question, do I ride difficult roads in training, do I ride hard in preparation for Louisville or do I just ride the flat smooth trails and take my lumps when I get to the hills in Kentucky? I want to be prepared, but don't want to get hurt and not even be able to start. I just don't do a very good job of coasting. Pictures to follow shortly. |
