I'm actually motivated to strength train and work on my core right now, which is really bizarre because I've always avoided these things for some reason.  I know yoga would round out the program perfectly, but I'm just not willing to sacrifice what little free time I have to do something I hate; you know?

This morning I told my husband that I want another baby, and he told me I need to find a new hobby  LMAO

Thats funny

When my wife says new baby I say No Way 2 if fine!!

We already have 4 - ages 7, 5, 4, and 2 1/2.  5 just seems like too many in his eyes.

See once you finish Mont Tremblant you can just drop the old "I want to do another IM or I want another baby."

Feel SO sluggish on off days that normally are training days for me.   Irritable and sluggish.

I went to bed with 7 minutes to go in the MNF game last night.  Apparently I should have watched until the end.

You are so going to hate tapering for Oilman.

I know.  Really looking forward to racing, really dreading my mindset during taper.

Sweet, sweet manipulation  Except he'd tell me to sign up for 10 IMs, because we're not having another baby (and I don't want to sign up for another IM).

No, seriously, I already told him that I'll do this one IM and then wait until my 40s to do another.  I plan on specifically focusing on HIMs for the next 5 years (after MT).  I jumped the gun on this one for August, and I will see it through, but from then on out, it's 70.3 miles for me.

Yeh might want to finish this race before trying for another baby ... just saying.  Gosh I think my dogs are enough to handle and I get my nephew once in a while.

BTW, did you all see my FB about my nephew run a 25 min 5k?  He never trains, didn't run his hardest and PR by over 2 minutes!  And he wants to join cross country .. I am so excited!

Kelly ... do you do training plans for kids

Anyone else have lots problems logging on Trainingpeaks?  The site is almost always not working for me.  I need to print the stuff out next time I get on (yes, I keep a binder full of my workouts ).

I've had occasional issues with my phone app.  BTW that isn't very eco friendly there.

Rarely have trouble, but I only go in, check out the workout and get out, I never load in there.  Or I know the workouts for the next several days, since mine are fairly simple right now.

Yah Jen - Go Green!

I don't have problems, but I don't spend a lot of time in there.  I'll review the upcoming week on Sunday, then look each day for the following day to make sure I know what I have scheduled.

Please.  LOL  I don't throw them away; I keep them and look back at them, figuring they might come in handy some day.  We recycle everything (our community provides recycling bins...everything down to paper and cardboard).   Please tell me you recycle, too???

I write my poems and stories on paper as well.  With a pencil.

btw....I know some of you read the Swim Speed Secrets book.  Worth the read?  Have you applied what you read to your stroke?  I am going to order some other books from Amazon and thought I'd add that to the list if it's worth it.  Opinions?

I liked it.  I think I'm going to spend some time in my month of off season trying some of it out.  It did give me some very good visuals to work off of as to how to start my pull.  I found the descriptions worked for the way I learn and process info.

What are you all doing on Training Peaks?  Are you paying for workouts?  How does it work?

I am not familiar with it at all

Is your off season after Oilman?  Or after IMTX?

I doubt our little library here has it because it's so new, but it could be downtown.  I'm going to go check for used copies on Amazon....

Thanks!

I guess it would make sense for it to be after IMTX.  That's a long 1 1/2 years of training for you, Scott!!!!

After Oilman.

ETA -- its always good to take at least a week or two off after every A race to let your body recover and heal.  There's plenty of time between Oilman and IMTX to take at least two weeks off and in November and maybe through Thankksgiving.  After IMFL, I wont be back to training until December.

Yeah.  I counted back 20 weeks from IMTX and it puts me right before Christmas.  I plan to take off 2 weeks after Oilman.  We'll see how my body image issues do with that.

Training peaks is just a website where as a coach you can enter in workouts for your athletes to follow and as an athlete can receive workouts and log training information for your coach to view.

I think it is free ... I didn't pay anything for it (Kelly did you pay anything for it?), but I have the most basic, there are premium memberships as well.  Alot of coaches use it and prefer it ... I haven't figured out why everyone loves it so much, but BT doesn't allow a coach to load workouts.  I also haven't spent a ton of time learning about it either.

Do you guys load to both TP and BT?

I guess my next question about trainig peaks is who are you guys buying plans from? Do you have personal coaches?

Are these plans generic or are they individulaized?
