Today was not my fastest race ever. It wasn't much slower than my previous 10k time two years ago, though. However, I am still in pain on the side I thought was a side stitch. Guess it's not that. Same thing happened during the half-marathon and went away a few days later. I think it's time for a trip to the doctor.

Did you have the nausea this time? Cuz that could be the sign of an unhappy gallbladder.

No, but it's been happening any time I run more than 4 miles (that's why they thought hernia) and goes away in a few days. I told myself that if it happened again after this race, I would get it checked out. I don't think my husband's going to let me get away with not going to the doctor, either.

Pretty much. It's frustrating after being out for most of last season and thinking about possibilities. My imagination is probably worse than sucking it up and going to the doctor.
