Jet lag sucks. Stay awake today, go to bed around 9:00 tonight, then see how you feel tomorrow.

I have to admit that I was a little concerned with you not getting to the east until yesterday. I was hoping you would have enough time to adjust to the time change.

It will be better tomorrow.

Morning Ghoulies. All plans on hold here. Jim's dad fell and may have a broken hip. He is on hospice care already. We are waiting for the call to see what the status is. I chose to have 3 glasses of wine and not too much dinner. Hmmmm. I am going to have to go for a "recovery ride" this am to clear the head. This afternoon a follow up dr visit with my mom. Hopefully we will still be able to dinner on the dock with friends tonight. We shall see.

Hopefully...I don't feel too bad right now...mom is out for a run before it gets super hot and then we are heading to expo/finding a bike mechanic to look at my rear derailer and get my race tires. Sorry about Jim's dad Robin!

I was just outside for a little bit and I was getting a headache just from the heat, and I was in the shade.

Ok Ghoulies I need all the good juju you can spare.

I applied for a network engineer position this morning and not only do I want this job, I need it. I have to get out of here.

I will most likely be taking a pay cut, but it gets me out of here, I will have a better boss, I will have better coworkers, it is what I actually want to be doing, and one of my best friends works there. I have to get this job!

Neal--nice reading list! I am impressed. You came up with a couple I was trying to come up with, but couldn't remember. And my daughter was no help--she's busy. Reading. ironic, huh?

Where's Kendra these days? Spending lots of time in the pool with the grandkids?

I did a wicked speed workout on my bike wednesday night. Then thursday I took my son to see the floats for the Days of '47 parade (Utah's Pioneer Days celebration--kinda like the state's 4th of July). It was lovely--you get to walk around inside this big expo center, be entertained by live dancing and singing groups form the area, get face painting and baloon animals for free, and vote for your favorite float, all indoors, in air conditioned comfort. And, it's free to get in. Then I went to work. After work I made myself stop bythe gym, and I not only got my run in, but also my swim off today' workout plan. I can barely move my right arm today, but that's okay, because it was the longest swim since I broke my arm in January. I think I earned this tired arm.

Sorry it's so hot everywhere--I think we're only at 92 degrees and 15% humidity. The joys of living in the "desert". I need toget a bike rid ein sometime today or tomorrow before work, then on Sunday I'll go down to Central Utah to catch up with the fam and camp overnight. Gotta love those state holidays that get rid of a Monday for ya.

Evening Ghouligans. Hopefully you are all well into FFFF!!! Except the Princess. She needs to get to bed early and the Manfriend is getting ready for his bike party. 

It was 117 here today. That was the actual temperature. Plus, it is really humid. Not sure of the heat index, but let's just call it bad. Very bad.

I stopped at the Y on the way home and got in a short swim. Mostly, I just wanted to hang in the cold water. When I hit the showers, I was absolutely shocked to see some women getting into the sauna. WTF???? Just sit outside.
