I miss 30......enjoy it while it lasts.

Anyway weather took a turn for the good so logged some more running yesterday.  That injury induced layoff after the half mary sure took its toll on my legs and lungs.  Let this be a lesson, you lose your fitness faster than you gain it.  Still feels good to get out and do something though sure beats sitting on my hind parts.

Bike up next.  Its getting to the point I look forward to my bike days, used to dread them.  I will like them even more once I change out my seats.  Enjoy your weekends people.

Happy Birthday!

Ran yesterday 20 minutes on the treadmill, 1.5 miles.

Also swam 750m with some drills thrown in.

It was great jumping back into training. Feeling a little sore today but I guess that's just part of not doing anything the last few days. Got a date with the indoor spin bike (no trainer for me) later today. Hopefully my bike will be coming up to school in the next few weeks when the weather starts to warm up. It's been rainy and in the 30s but if it keeps up I think I'm going to suck it up and start running outside cause the gym's been pretty crowded lately.

I miss 35

Managed 1800m this evening, wasn't really planning on heading down (bit of a head cold) but a mate called round, not as easy as last time but still felt good.

10 mile run in the morning, looking forward to it.

Tried on a mates wetsuit yesterday evening and it felt great, he paid £320 for it but I managed to find the same one for £160 (he's cracking) looking forward to my first open water swim.

Well between a cold and crazy busy times at work I haven't done much this whole week. 2 hour spin class on Sunday. I have ran about 15 miles all week. Took a 30 minute swim lesson on Wednesday.

So, tomorrow I am running 16 miles in the morning. Love marathon training

Then I may try to swim a little in the evening. But definitely swimming on Sunday and the 2 hour spin class again. I really need to get an indoor trainer for my bike. Suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback on the races! I still haven't signed up . . .

I ran 10 miles this morning, had to push hard during the last 3 miles to maintain a sub 8min pace (1:19:28).

Followed it up with 15 miles on the bike, first real run out on the bike and if felt great. I've a few tweaks to do my right foot was sore where the cleat attaches (think its the angle of the cleat) and my left caft was pulling a bit.

Still stuffed with the cold so looking forward to a good rest tomorrow!

16 Miles on the bike, went well.  Loving the biking...only soreness was saddle soreness.  Getting me an Adamo Typhoon to try out.  Looking forward to some relief.

Also have another question.  My cleats are a mid location. Calves were feeling it.  Should I move my cleats back towards the arch of my foot and will that helps?  Calves weren't hurting or anything but I just wanted to make sure my calves would still be up for running when the time came.

Both my Calves are tender today, I could feel my left one pulling during my cycle yesterday.

Can this be helped by cleat position, or is it just natural muscle building.

Hello All,

I'm finishing up my kettle training and about to get into more focused tri training.  I'm looking at plans and wanted to know what plans you guys and gals are using?  I'm considering the 16 Week Sprint Plans alternating with one month bike focused, one month swim focused, one month run focused.  I may mix in some CrossFit Endurance days just to mix it up.  I'm also looking at a plan from ontri.com  I'd love to hear what plans other people are using.

BTW, since this is my 2d year of this, I can do a sprint distance but I really want to get faster at sprint and maybe move up to olympic next year.

Thanks,

CT

Back to training on a regular basis. Tri Club practice at my school started up today so I got in 35 min worth of running drills, 20 min running plus some stretching and core work. Going for a longer run tomorrow and hopefully a swim.

Happy Monday!! I got some good pool work in this morning. Really working on improving my breathing. Still needs a lot if work, but it is starting to come back to me. Followed the swim with some good cardio ( 1 hr).... well, ok, my cardio was Zumba and not biking or running, but a girl gets to have some crazy fun cardio, right? !?!
Tomorrow I'm planning a 10 mile bike and 2 mile run. See, I'm not totally slacking from the tri training!

Rain ruined my original plan for training.  Had to improvise and use the old dreadmill.  Never did get as fast as I do on the road and I can't understand why but I did get a run in so theres that.  Felt good, no complaints.

Good Morning Gang,  I have a bike and a swim planned for today. Hopefully the scattered showers will cooperate and stay clear. Have a great day and make every workout count and have a focus!

Hey y'all, sorry for the absence. Quick catchup: I didn't get to run my 10K on Saturday. I tweaked a rib or something out of place on Friday and was going to play it by ear. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise - decided not to run Saturday morning (around 6:30am) and within an hour and a half was puking my guts out. Spent saturday in bed, and then sunday resting & hydrating. Then Monday morning Chris started puking! Oh no! I stayed home as caregiver and house-sanitizer, but managed to make up Sunday's workout. A little weaker than normal, but still saw lifting gains, which is cool. Was planning to hit the gym, but after a completely overwhelming day I think I'm just gonna go home & do some plyo. For some reason that sounds more manageable than dealing with the gym. Hope you're all well & I'll catch up on the forum as soon as work calms down.
