Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us?Derailed. Long run two nights ago. An easy, short 4.5 miles last night. Felt great all night and felt perfectly fine all day today. I was just standing around in a store an hour ago when my left foot suddenly started to hurt to the extent that it was difficult to walk out of the store without a limp in the area of the peroneal longus tendon (outside of the foot, in front of the heel, even with the arch but to the outside, so not PF). I was wearing flip-flops at the time, so I'm currently blaming the footwear and have put my running shoes on for support. In taking quick test jog steps in the house, I could *probably* run, but I am not chancing it... shutting it down for tonight and my streak ends at 25. I've done enough runs to have already hit 30, so I'm not terribly upset, and I'm hoping that it's just the equivalent of a knot or "charlie horse" and that a night of resting will let me do a treadmill run in the morning. |
