Feels really strange today....Only a 20 minute bike and one mile run.  Oly tri tomorrow....first of the season!!  Seems weird that a few years ago a 25 mile bike and a 10k run was daunting.....now Im just trying to speed it up!!

Two and a half more hours biking in the rain.  Getting tired of the rain and the roads that are made with coral.  Makes it hard to stop as you could imagine.

Oldest daughter graduated from Kindergarten today, time sure does fly.

^^^^^^ I love my Felt S22 aluminum frame that I do most of my training rides on and it served me well in LP 08, but I gotta say riding the Slice is so much more comfortable. Your going with the wheel cover I see for Eagleman.

My second oldest graduated 8th grade yesterday. Was nice to have a day off from training and spend it with the family. Was also nice to top of the glycogen stores by eating like a pig at the party afterwards! Can't beleive my little girl is in high school next year. Not to sound like a Hallmark commercial, but it goes by fast so enjoy them now while they are still little!

Did a very hilly nearly 6 hour ride with rstocks (he's one masochistic SOB! <- with all due respect!) I nearly cried three times.  I'm sure I've got the mental prep work down for the awesome training trip to LP this weekend with swishyskirt! BRING! IT! ON!

Great job...these are the rides that you will mentally go back to during the race and say.."yeah, I got this!"

While you guys were training, ...I was hangin' out with my buddy Craig this weekend.   I highly recommend the Rev3 races.  Freaking blast!

Definitely a fun race....and that course is no joke. I am licking my wounds a little today I must admit. Everyone talks about the bike but I thought the run was harder. That dirt rode climb at +/- 3.5 miles kicked my a$$....as did mile 12-13 which is all uphill. Definitely not a PR day for me but good LP training (I hope).

I had a blast of a weekend.  Raced well on Saturday and Sunday.  I even rode the 65 miles back to Atlanta after my race on Saturday in 90+ heat.  Man I am hoping for a superbly hot day in LP next month.

Most people thought I was kidding or crazy for riding back to Atlanta after the race.  I just said, "Lake Placid is too close not to".

I will hopefully see some of you at Eagleman on my way up to the LP training camp next week.

Okay people - with less than 7 weeks to go I am starting to over analyze things and freak out. Is the altitude difference in LP going to effect my performance more than my lack of ability?
