Artemis - 2009-02-15 7:56 PM I always thought COB meant 5, but maybe that's because my husband works at a bank.  How's it going, Cat?

I associate it with "corn", myself.

Hi Phil

Hi, K!  Just about calling it a night.  The 22 miler killed me today.  Wifey made me a shorty Beam and Coke and I'm savoring/nursing it right now.

Any Valentine's goodness given to you by a certain party?

No, not yet, but maybe next week 22 miles! Yikes!

X-ing fingers for ya.

Yep, I'm hurtin', but need that build and endurance if I want to do some damage this season.  I'm figuring this will be my last year of racing since wifey deserves getting back as a family and finally enjoy some vacations while the wee ones still speak with us and want to enjoy time with us.

I saw your inspire and told wifey - we laughed.   Yeah, it doesn't happen THAT often that I do those things, sans the run.

LOL, glad you guys liked the inspire Last season? I love that you have that quote in your sig line, btw!

It's a nice statement and means something to me, so it deserves a little special mention.

I did a 60 mile solo ride today and it seemed like the wind changed to forever be in my face but it was great.  Took a nice ice bath a hot shower and then dinner with the fam.  Very good iBirthday.  It is getting hard to keep my eyes open.

I could not sleep when I was on prednisone.  I had to quit taking it even though my entire body itched like crazy.  I had an alergic reaction to a spider bite.  Not quite as cool as riding gloves but meh!

the first two weeks hadn't resulted in anything too bad as far as side affects - they really upped the dosage though

this damn rash on my hands won't go away

Sometimes they have to switch steroids depending on how you respond.  Do you have another doctor's appointment soon?

Good Luck... they wouldnt give me anymore orally when i was really sick and told me I would have to go on an IV for the stuff if I didnt start to get better soon...

SO glad that never happened... but I think the doc likes to threaten it from time to time!

not for 2 weeks - they want to see how this works

it's just so strange - the past 2 weeks when i've been on the prednisone, i could have sworn the rash was gone

but as soon as the dosage ended - bam - there it was back again

it's getting better each time - hopefully this last round will do the trick

i really don't get the whole thing - how does it work?
